This is a full-featured AJAX based Invites component that allows your users to manage, view and send invites, all without reloading the page. It was previously known as the popular PlaxoInvite.
It allows your users to grab their contacts' emails from Hotmail, Yahoo, GMail, Lycos, AOL, ICQMail, Outlook / Outlook Express, and Thunderbird.
It displays a user's summary of invites (viewable to all), his invites details (viewable to owner and administrators), and the AJAX Invite Tool (viewable only to the owner).
The plugin also allows users to resend, revoke and delete invites. It also allows ranking of users based on accepted invites, and even has its own module that shows the Top Inviters!
Other features include Auto Connections setup, delay settings, max emails per send, karmas, and much much more. It's simply too much to list them all here! The package also includes a Joomla backend component that allows admins to configure the plugin and manage invites with the ease of a Joomla backend admin interface.
It uses Community Builder's (CB) registration, and requires Community Builder to be installed.
Separate add-on ParaInvite Pro adds the following functions:
- Include sending invitations as part of the registration process
- Force users to send out at least a configurable number of invites before registration process is considered complete
- Allows users to send invites through a separate component instead of their profiles (you may hide the invite tool in their profiles to prevent confusion)
- Badges feature which allows your users to place personal badges on their blogs, forums and other websites to promote your site, and getting points in return.
- Namecard feature, which is a URL which your users can leave anywhere they want (forum posts, other websites, emails etc), and when people follow this link, they will view their namecards with a link to register on your site. Namecard invitations are considered a successful valid invitation.
- Allow you to restrict registration to people with valid invitations.
