Joomla Ajax Chat is a web based chat application developed entirely in JavaScript on the user end, with mySQL and PHP on the backend. The chat script is fully integrated as a Joomla Component and supports Joomla 1.0+ as well as Mambo 4.5.2+ Joomla Ajax Chat is developed both for the average Joomla user and developers. It includes custom templates, an extension framework for developers to extend the Chat functionality as well as plug in existing components. Support for BBCode, Smileys with a IM like toolbar for formatting your chat messages. Custom bad word filters, word transformation, and php filters for messages. Full seperation of server and client, allowing developers to use the Server API and Client API seperately, or even write their own chat client (js or otherwise).
