This component, with his module, is an excellent extension for website that,like mine, speaks about football and tips. The component in very easy to install and set and it works very well. The layout is very nice and there are a lot of options in setting page, so I can configure my season as I like.

Finally the support is excellent and very fast. If you have a problem of each kind, the support solved it in a small time.

Very Recommended!!

I have to give this one 5 out of 5. I am a new user of jTips this month - set-up was a breeze, it does what it sets out to do very well, and support seems to be out of this world. Very responsive and knowledgable. Requests for future enhancements also taken on board positively. I have quickly become a big fan and recommend this one to all who are looking for this kind of thing.

Some amazing work done by the programmer in the last months. The software has been improved so much that the previous review don't apply to the current version of the component.

With version 1.4 there is a free version and two levels of paid subscriptions. Most of the functions you need are in the free version. For running multiple competitions you will need a subscription.

I run the component for a footy tipping competition with 50 students. Hope the programmer keeps up the great work.

Requires massive code review; license prevents collaboration by Zanchey, March 27, 2007
Although the complete rewrite in the leadup to version 1.0 has added many useful features, it is clear that the code powering jTips requires careful review before implementation in a production environment. There are many basic functionality issues; simple problems like comparison operators being the wrong way round or incorrect properties being checked.

Unfortunately, the new commercial license is extremely restrictive, and fixing even these simple bugs or conducting a basic code review without the express written permission of the developer is in breach of the conditions.

its not useful for me cos i have over 3000 member. Jtips needs every user to be registered by admin to the tips manually,
if any possibility to use it default for every users even new regisrered ones it will be perfect

Great job so far. All is working as advertised. works great easy to config, ready to go stable I would think and then work on more advanced features for the next release.

This is worth a look at if you want a tipping component. basic but has all you need to start.


Good idea but to many bugs by Erik, August 11, 2006
The idea is very good and useful, but there are to many bugs at the moment! Almost nothing is working: Making changes in the round manager impossible, submitting tips is giving error, etc, etc.
