New Version includes Automatic Slideshow.
Now you can view your images in a Couloir Slideshow and zoom the photos with a Lightbox effect. Two great AJAX driven scripts in one Module. This module is easy to use and easy to install. It automatically generates a list of all images in a directory or dinamically extacts images from MOS category or section folder. You can also automatically scale the images down to any specified width and/or height. It looks great too, give it a try today...

This module is simple but does the job very well...
I prefer smoothgallery, but my rocketheme template has a conflict with it, so this is a good alternative.

Simple and it works!. I tested all the images sliders posted so far and I picked this one for it's simplicity and ability to work across IE and FF without a glitch. The ability to load images from any folder was important to me.
Thank you so much.
Wish list: Can we add fade patterns like flash image rotator by joomlashack?

Good for random image show by thepisu, August 23, 2007

This is not really a "gallery" component, but this is great for having in home page a simple random image slideshow; not many functionalities are needed, it's just for funny and nice effect.

..and simple to install. I get the full functionality with Joomla 1.0.13 but the navigation buttons don't work in all Joomla templates.
This modules does not work at all on 1.5RC1 - even with the System Legacy component enabled. Although 1.5 comes with a similar "Random Image" module, it does not offer the same features as this Couloir.
Am I to understand that this module is not supported any more? That would be a shame...

Good but not supported anymore by keveen, June 19, 2007

Apparently the author is not supporting this program any more.
It worked brilliantly Offline but as soon as I uploaded it I got "Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: Read error! " errors which I have not been able to fix. I tired it on another Joomla installation with the same result. I think it has more to do with server PHP than the program itself??
The great thing about it is that the slideshow image is downsized proportionately on the fly and the a lightbox popup shows the true size.

Really Like the Module by NorthernHorse, April 21, 2007

I really like this module. It's smooth, loads quickly and gives a good first impression.
Two things... wish I could figure out how to have the little thumbnails show up on the top like on your display website and would LOVE to know how to edit the picture titles.

Demo and Module not the same by Roed, April 20, 2007
|
I thought that I would get what I saw when I press the demo button here on this site. But this is something completly different than the module? Is the link at the Demo button correct? I would like to get a gallery like the demo and not the module that I can download when pressing the Download button!

Aligment to leftin FF? by SupaFly, March 7, 2007

I changed the margin: 0; to margin: 1; in couloir.css and that solved the problem but it then puts a space between pic and the description..

improvements are necessary by maximnl, February 25, 2007

I checked this Ajax module and was distracted by this loading bar. It interrupts the slide show so it looks like you are downloading something all the time. So , I need something more professional. Thanks any way for a module I hope it will be improved.

LOVE IT! by brandonjp, February 21, 2007

I really do love this module...it's super easy to load and configure - it's not bloated; however, it gets the job done quicker and more visually pleasing than modules twice it's size. I had a slight problem with the initial size of the container being too big before resizing to the image, but I quickly and easily fixed it in the two CSS files.
**ONE NOTE: My page layout is table based and is centered - this module keeps aligning my page to the left in FF...that fixed and this module is absolutely perfect!

Great Module by zeule, February 4, 2007

With this module I've managed to make my site cool and profesional in the same time. Sorry for you that you only work for donation, cause like me.. and others will not have the possiblity to donate. Great work! I hope that you plan to create even a component with the same quality.
As for the module.. if you can... figure how to make the module appear twice on the same page. The module can be duplicated, but used on different pages. i think that is all, thanks for listening to me.

Looks terrific! by almost, January 26, 2007

Very easy to install and get going - only had to learn how to display a mod in content to replace a less impressive slideshow I've been using for years. Couloir is simple to use, clean and professional looking, and certainly adds interest to my front page.
Two things I wish it had:
1) Exif support, so I could be a little more creative with captions than just file names allow.
2) Add panning - like a lightbox script I saw out there somewhere - and it would almost look like a movie!
