New Version includes Automatic Slideshow.
Now you can view your images in a Couloir Slideshow and zoom the photos with a Lightbox effect. Two great AJAX driven scripts in one Module. This module is easy to use and easy to install. It automatically generates a list of all images in a directory or dinamically extacts images from MOS category or section folder. You can also automatically scale the images down to any specified width and/or height. It looks great too, give it a try today...

Although the module looks great and is excactly what I'm looking for, its apparently not usable for me.
On the website with a centered table in the template everything (table, menu's, text, etc) is complete left aligned on the screen after publishing the module. Strange thing is this only happens in FireFox and not in IE(6)
When this "undocumented feature" is resolved I'll for sure use this module.

Amazing FREE component! by yaomla, January 7, 2007

This is by far the best component I've used as a compact gallery. Amazing effects powered by AJAX. I've been searching for such a component for a while and I would say this is a very promising one. Well done!
However, I found a bug that if you use Ajax Header Rotator at the same time Firefox would not load the images and IE would flash the gallery down from the top. Got the following errors:
$("ul#rotator") has no properties
event has no properties
I would say there's a conflict between the two components.
It would be good if you can fix it, Taras.

This is amazing!!! by Newmanterry, December 17, 2006

This is a really great module. It adds spice to your website - allowing to you have both a moving gallery and pop-up style thumbnails. It is easy to install and manipulate.
It was so good that even I - a relative novice to this joomla game - was able to install it.
Thanks Taras. Keep up the good work. And keep 'em comin...

Gorgeous! by Ephilei, December 11, 2006

Simply gorgeous! The beauty of flash.
Single suggestion: load thumbnails instead of the full images when in normal mode and load new, larger images when full screen.

Love it but..... by Rapid, December 5, 2006

A sensational output but I can't get it working in IE7!
All I'm left with is the "loading" animation. Works fine in Mozilla. Nice work all the same let me know when it's cool with 7
Cheers!

Simple and Effective Gallery! by planethurf, December 4, 2006

This gallery mod is superb! It is quick and very easy to setup and it is very effective and eyecatching!
(NOTE: When you ftp your images to your chosen gallery folder, do not have the remote view set to thumbnail as this generates a thumbs.db file, which stops the gallery working!)
Your clients will love the professional look this mod provides!

What a great Module...so much potential!!!! by ringding, December 1, 2006

1st I just want to THANK YOU for creating a fantastic module...I love it! Your hard work is greatly appreciated by myself and many others!
With a few more tweaks and additions this will be by far the best slideshow module out there...
Question: I am also using "MultiThumb" for my content images and it also has a lightbox feature but I cannot use yours and MultiThumbs lightbox at the same time on the same page...conflict in Java scripts...do you know of any way around this? If I could use both with lightbox...WOW...that would be awesome!!!!
Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to seeing this module evolve!!
Thanks again!!!

Easy to Install by katnips2, November 25, 2006

Couloir was easy to install and use-you can use the same files as your pc hierarchy (relative) so it's easy for a beginner. It's easy to install through the joomla installer and had no install bugs. The developer was very quick to respond to my additional requests being: automatic thumbnail generation (with display on a sidebar) and the ability to have more than one module on one content item. He said he is currently too busy in school to develop those but welcomes all comments for the future. This is a simple slideshow that can automatically play, however you need to size your photos smaller so it doesn't hang up on slower bandwidth users.

I have been looking for a flashy gallery (without paying $35 or so for something too bulk and hard to configure).
This really did the trick in the matter of minutes I had my gallery rockin.
Only problem is that IE does not play nice with this. For instance, IE doesn't even show the full screen version of the image. Since I have too many users on IE (75%) I will probably have to put this mod on the shelf.
Still I think this is a great gallery.
Let me know if you ever figure out an IE work around. Owner's reply: Thank you amos for reporting this problem. It's now resolved in version 1.0.3.0.

Taras works hard at making his applications work.
Taking the time to listen to his users for requests and development are a sign of exceptional level of service.
He is constantly working to improve the usability or his applications and giving them a web 2.0 feel.
The recent improvement is outstanding and an artist client is excited in using this module to show case his gallery.
Keep up the good work

Very nice, but still need some options by rockyoropeza, October 5, 2006

I installed this module, and works very fine, you can check it on http://bali.com.mx/ but, it will make this module awesome that it could do automatic slideshow (with the related config options i.e. transition, photo onscreen delay, and maybe the option of either show or not the file name or in case add a more descriptive name than the file name)
Hope to hear from you Taras, you have made a very nice work, just a little bit more to get EXCELLENT!!
Congratulations.
From Mexican Caribbean to the world.
Ing. Rocky O. Berni Owner's reply: Autoprogression has been added to this module, more features to come...
Thank you for your feedback,
Taras

RE: Different on Mac and PC by ptogel - August 28, 2006
I installed it and it looked great on a Mac. But on a PC, the navigation symbols looked different and not as usable as on a Mac.
It only looks different on IE, because IE does not support transparency on PNG files. As a result, I had to use a gif image for hoverover. It had to be square, otherwise the image looks edgy and too sharp.
In conclusion, use Firefox :) or Safari. Recommend Firefox, to your users because Microsoft does not implement standards correctly and we end up having these kind of discrepancies.
Thanks,
Taras

awesome! by QuinnTheAdmin, August 16, 2006

I look for different ways of displaying images on my site and find this one particularly easy to install and configure. Along with being pleasing to the eye in the display options. I edited the mod_.php file to add a few spaces to the bottom of the displayed module.
BTW: Thanks! by xtremest - August 15, 2006
Very fine Gallery.
It will be very fine if you'll add a possibility to slideshow through all the pictures in a directory (with generating thumbs, may be) and by click the image will be expanded in a lightbox window.
Have you seen this module? It does the lightbox/thumbnail without the slideshow option... but with some creative layout they could work together on the same page...
