Today I asked this component to marry me! I know, you're thinking 'sad sod'. I can't do tech talk, I can only speak as a novice of a year, still learning about Joomla. But you need to check this out before you judge me on my taste in fine, carefully crafted components for Joomla. I don't bother leaving a review if the component or module doesn't literally make me scream with JOY! I applauded this one and its still making me smile.

For a whole year I didn't touch this component. I hadn't truly understood what it really was for. I came across it several times and thought, pooey - it probably doesn't do what it says on the box.... Ok, stay with me on my waffling... But only last week, I took time out to read the full write up of what this comp does and tried it out then and there. To be honest with the five sites I run I was bored of having to log into the hosting space and go (as it were) through the back door. Thats why this is amazing.. You install it as per usual within Joomla (and even a novice such as myself doesn't need to fear it) it gives access to your server files, via Joomla. No more logging in to your hosting peeps when changing small things int he back end.

So, I asked JoomlaXplora to be mine forever more, big wacking diomand ring winging its way across the pond. You may laugh, but it said YES!!!! :) Thank you for an amazing component, which does what it says on the box without the scratching of heads, kissing of teeth and breaking of plates & cups....

joomlaXplorer helps me work with files thar cPanel could otherwise not deal with because of the fact that cpanel runs under a different user than Apache. Well done!

Frustration almost led me to compramise my project. But for this amazing extension. If you are getting a 550 error, you need to checkout this tool. Thanx for this wonderful tool.

I found a tiny problem with the new version of JoomlaXplorer. In the past, within JoomlaXplorer, whenever you would click on the file item on your left and if it was a PHP file, the code would get executed. In the current release (1.5), clicking the file (or its icon) on the left opens up the Editor of JoomlaXplorer, which doesn't make sense, since we have an icon on the right, which does exactly the same thing. Now, in order to execute the PHP code, you have to manually type in the path in the browser address window, which is not so pleasant.
The FTP option doesn't work for me, since my FTP IP address is different from the site's IP address. It would be nice, if the option was configurable.

Excellent extension, which saves a lot of time because you do not need to bother yourself with FTP to make a small change to a file.
I installed and used it without any problems to date, and couldn't do without it.
Features that could be useful in a next release: line-numbers in the edit window, and a search/find function. This is not really necessary because I usually copy code to an editor program, but it would make this product complete.

This is the Ultimate utility for any Joomla! site. I have been using this for about five months, and cannot begin to explain how useful and important JoomlaXplorer is to managing a Joomla! site. Try it...you will be hooked.

really great installation is smooth and the component is pretty easy to use..

This very usefull when some componet or other think haves a bug in single file. I don't need exxecute SFTP or FTP client anymore for make small chages to single PHP files.

Very easy to use, only two minor niggles 1. file overwrite on uploads is disabled by default which means you need to either hack the code to enable or remember to delete files before uploading 2. It would be nice if you could make the editor window bigger(and even better if it had line numbers and a find option! But apart from that it is a fantastic tool.. I use it every day!

Another of my essential components that I install immediately with every new Joomla! site. Gets around the annoying file permission/ownership issues that currently exists in Joomla!.
