Very easy to use, only two minor niggles 1. file overwrite on uploads is disabled by default which means you need to either hack the code to enable or remember to delete files before uploading 2. It would be nice if you could make the editor window bigger(and even better if it had line numbers and a find option! But apart from that it is a fantastic tool.. I use it every day!

Will let you into areas where your ftp programme won't ... only niggle is that if you last accessed a directory which you subsequently deleted by some other means (e.g. a mod uninstall), it sometimes remembers where it last pointed and you have to strip back the url to a directory which esists. Apart from that excellent.

Fantastic component, works very well, but for one small thing - I have a number of sub-domains installed on my server, when I use Joomla (or a client on a sub-domain logs into their SuperAdministrator account) they can see the whole server - I would like to see a way to tie it to a domain or sub-domain rather than have the entire server open to all. Overall though cracking component.

| simply amazing by Renoa Heartilly, June 2, 2006 |

i hates my slow FTP program so this component was a life saver (mostly time saver, but you get the point) it has everything, from simply copying/renaming files to setting permissions of files and folders. (it worked on my Linux-hosted test site, but the Windows site refused to have its permissions set from JoomlaXplorer, i'm assuming its the windows OS)
simply put, i cant imagine having a joomla site without joomlaXplorer!

Wow! This thing rocks. Seriously the second I saw this component I thought I was gonna pay for it. But I found that its free and its also OpenSource!
So far no there are no glitches. A very good component.
A very big THANK YOU to Sören Eberhardt for this totally amazing component!

Great tool! Use it a lot when the rights change again and I can't delete files with Direct Admin.

| Good, but how can i modify access authority by duyth, May 26, 2006 |

The component is a must have, no more FTP things.
You got Joomla backend, so why do you need to use an extra FTP program.
The only problem for me now is that : how can i modify the access permission of this so Admin level accounts can use ?
( i dont really understand the ACL list especially the $my->usertype thing)
