Chat component with REAL moderation, this is, question filtering and approval. Useful for conferencing, e-learning sites, or any other chat application where you have a live guest who is answering questions, or if you need an editor when receiving real time questions/comments from your users. The chat window is rendered using AJAX (with Sajax) so there are no flickering or manual refreshes. New version for Joomla 1.5 coming up, stay tuned!

This is a really great product! It is perfect if you want to have special speakers/guests to chat on your site. Support gets right back to you as well. I am looking forward to future enhancements! I don't see any other option that does what this chat accomplishes! Great job.

Read to documentation before you install. The web site has excellent info on the component's intended use. Don't think its a general chat site - much better, more personal way to engage new visitors!! Well done. Look forward to enhancements, like closing the pop up when you end chat.

At first I didn't think that this extension was going to work as I could only see the available chats, but having emailed the author, quickly realised my mistake and was chatting in no time. The auto refresh is seriously cool and looks professional. And credit to the author for the quick and clear support.

Anybody who wants a chat XT - get this!!

I have installed this compenent successfully. You do need at least 2 computers to test the full functionality. One computer logged in as the guest and moderator (since you can set yourself as both) and another signed in as a registered user. I am hoping that a module will be created for this component.

Compenent needs some maturing, but great job so far.

I installed this com_ to test it. But I found difficult to make it run. I added a menu item for the com_, and added new chat at the backend. But if I click on the menu at the frontend, there shows the chat will coming soon which was dated by me on Jan. 1st, 2006.

Why? I did not know why this com_ ? what is it for?

If you need live chat, there already exists Livesupport com_. If you only need a chatting room, why not try the Blastcaht mod?
