Works very nice, one minor problem: it counts the spybots and robot page-impressions too. It there a way to prevent counting these?

This is one of the components that keeps me coming back to Joomla when I have a client that needs rotating banners. It's well made although it has a few spelling mistakes here and there. Overall, though, I had no problems installing on Dreamhost and getting banners to run asap on Joomla 1.0.13. I think it's extremely versatile and rotates without error. There is a 1.5 version out on the author's website so go get it.

| Great Component ...But by Nikijacob, November 12, 2007 |

It does more then the other componenets do, so I am stuck with it. But the module makes all the banners stuck together and whenever you change the css, nothing happens. So it works great but looks bad.

works great and has many useful features!!!
The only problem i have with is that is pushing me 'powered by' image to the next line. I cant make it stand on left.

I was looking for a banner manager that gave me full control over the banners for my site. I tried FlexiAdvert and BannersManger, they were good but not as good as ArtBanners Plus.
If need good banner managerment for a site
This is a musthave.

| Good potential but no SEF support by zen69, June 26, 2007 |

Seems to have much more to offer than any other banner components, but the only drawback is that it does not support Joomla built-in SEF (or any other 3rd party SEF).
Hopefully it will be implemented in its future release.

Great improvement on the artbanners component. Now all it needs is an ordering system to automate everything.

| Easy to Install, Read the README by bruce.dixon, May 21, 2007 |
|
The only reason I cannot give this an "excellent" rating is that I only installed it today. The README.TXT instructions are straightforward, and it just plain works. I only wish it offered the possibility of rotating the banners at specified intervals.
I will probably send the developer something next paydady.

I like this extension. I installed this for advertizing several flash-based ads and it works very perfect complete with total impressions and click plus total money earned. Thanks for sharing this. Keep up the good work.

| Solid Extension - expanded linking recommended by Cokenour, April 9, 2007 |
|
This is a great extension. I had multiple ad spaces on my site and I used this extension to manage flash ads for each. These are all in-house ads so I'm not using the sales feature, but it's a nice addition!
One recommendation would be to include functionality for linking the ads to internal Joomla! content. Something similar to what JCE does for standard Joomla! content would be perfect. Otherwise it works great.

| Good component by clairecutler, March 30, 2007 |

It is a good component with potential for improvement. I am pretty much happy with it except for the fact that you cannot rearrange the order of the ads and this is a necessity when people are paying for adverts.
The publish function also seems to acts irrationally as someone else pointed out but in the most part works. And the banners need to be uploaded via the media manager but these smaller issues would not matter to me if I could just have the ability to reorder as stated above.

| Good but... by tomaster, March 17, 2007 |

I tested this component and I found it very usefull and easy to use. It makes what it says, the problem is that the module doesn't have the class suffix parameter. I'm controling my modules appearance through this option. I think i'll wait until the implemet this parameter.

| Promising extension, but very poor documentation by InnerFlash, March 13, 2007 |

As far as my knowledge goes this component is nearly abandoned, but nobody seems to give up on it.
I've asked the developer(s) to provide some kind of concise resume of the features, issues, changelog and to-do list but nobody seems to answer. Every time I come back in the forum post that have become its "homepage" there seems to be only questions partially answered by people struggling to make it work through their own trial and error.
There's not clear list stating what this component is capable of nor a list of issues. There are several issues not yet addressed. No idea about the odds of its further development either. I give it a 3 star for the sake of all the work put into it so far, otherwise I'd give a 1 star. Lack of support and debugging does make an extension very poor. I wish the developer gave access (or rights) to the core code so people could develop it further.
It's very promising, but I'm very hesitant to use it in a site with thousands of visitors a day.
Cheers!
