This component has very little documentation, but for the most part you don't really need documentation.

One reviewer complained about no way to edit the copyright... Well, that is no longer true, the copyright has an edit screen now... They forgot to give us access to the date field, so they need to add one line to the copyright page and this issue is resolved. That means they listen to their users, so that is a good thing.

This component is great for people that have been using joomla for a while, and know the basics of how the modules work. For the experienced template designer, it is a great time saving tool. However for the novice Joomla user, expect to spend some time figuring out how templates and modules work, as it is not documented here.

This is a no-nonsense control panel based template tool. Once your template is finished, you can copy it to another site, without needing the component. So the joomla professional will want to install it in a workspace where they can use it in their day to day site design effort.

I don't know what the limits are with this. I see sometemplates out there, like the one at demo.joomlabamboo.com that I wouldn't have any idea how to implement with EXP Templates, it might be possible and I just don't know how. The point being that a professional template designer will probably be able to do more than a novice such as myself. I've been hacking at templates for 3 years, and I have learned a lot, but not enough to be good. This tool would make me good instantly. A pro would probably increase his productivity with this tool.

It is rough around the edges, I found two minor bugs, but nothing to stop me from using it. Those bugs will be fixed by the time you read this.

It's strong suits are that it is quick to get a template done, you can be up and running in minutes of installation and have something very nice looking as well. The weaknesses are there as well. Somethings don't have as much detail to them as I would hope for in something I have to pay for. You can't edit the Copyright Date that I've found, you can't set images for a lot of areas in the template.

There are several places that could use a lot of improvement. I hope we see them, for this is one of the best ways to edit the look of your site without having to know how to code it into the PhP/HTML code. Keep up the good work!

I usually use Dreamweaver/Sitespinner as my main templating prg. Sometimes i could use something easier and EXP is just that. Easy. I had this idea that creating the mainstructure in EXP and then importing this into DW for further enhancement and finally installing it on a site that doesnt use the EXP component.
My first try with EXP was quite easy an useable, until I reached the point when I wanted to use the created templating on another site. Eventhough I have a reasonable knowledge of DW, html, php ex. not even the sparse help found on the site helped me out. Lucky enough im only in the testing face and it could be a great tool for creating some templates in a hurry.

OK.Let`s do a little math ...rocketheme's club(Though i prefer JoomlArt) is $50 and you can download all their templates. Then to rewrite it i have paid 100$ - 200$ more,and was waiting for a new templates about month.
One more thing is i can`t resell this (rocketheme's club) template.
EXP Templates i bought only for 40$ and remade it in one day.According to license i can sell my template without any limits!

I thing that the best ad to this component is envy of competitors!!!

This is a fantastic component, just what Joomla needs.
Can't reccomend it highly enough.

This extension absolutely blows away anything I else have used to customize a Joomla site quickly. This extension will allow me to complete three times the projects I was completing, allowing me to get paid three times faster. Great for small sites for customers who don't really want a lot of bells and whistles, just their company name, logo, color scheme and company info. I highly recommend this extension if you need to make quick turn-arounds to get paid.

This is a very fast way to build a custom site with many module positions to use in the template. It is easy to setup and use in minutes. This has to be the best tool yet for website developers with little or no interest in creating the php/html portion of the template by cut/paste or other hack methods.
