Joomla Translation (JTrans Pro) Component

Give your site users to access your website content in up to THIRTEEN additional languages, automatically! This component utilizes online translation servers to deliver you these thirteen translations in seconds. Best part is, you do not even need to know these languages yourself!

Please do understand that the translations are dependent on the quality of language in your site in terms of grammar and spelling. Automatic translations by Google and Yahoo cannot be as accurate and flowery as human professional translation. But human translation is time consuming and very VERY expensive. If you were to get your average sized site human-translated into these thirteen languages, it would cost you at least tens of thousands of US dollars.

I was using the free version and decided to try the Pro. At first I had a little issue with it but it it was quickly fixed. I Love this product and will be using it for all my sites that need a translator.

Over all I like this very much. It certainly widens your audience. Nothing can be expected to be 100% accurate unless you did them manually.

The only thing I would like to see from it is to translate each page once you've clicked a translation. I mean If I've chosen French say, I would certainly like the next link I click French as well without hitting the flag link again.

Other then that, I think it's a fine addition to any site that may want to meet a broader group of users with very little effort.

It was fun to make a homepage for a client with jtranspro ofcourse there is no perfect translation but it's for example in china or arabic countries that they can understand a little bit of you're website.

I have been using this translation system (module and component) right from their start and the improvement they've made has been more than noticeable.

My site is in spanish for spanish spoken people, but with this system we can have guests from countries that not only speak spanish but also english and french.

I don't like joomfish because we had to translate every page to every language we wanted. But with this translation system it does this by itself in real time!

This is by far the best automatic translator. I tried several products but no other compares to JTrans Pro. The translations aren't perfect but acceptable. This is something that Google and Yahoo translation engines are always perfecting but this component Rocks!

It's perfect for our adventure site with worldwide visitors. A very neat little module that blends in perfectly - check it out at http://www.adventurenz.co.nz We got Joomlaspan to instal it. Totally worth it for the small cost involved compared to the time it would have taken us. Plenty of feedback during the process and quick answers to our questions. O/k, the translations are computer generated so it's not perfect (yet) but my partner is Dutch & she was happy with it.

Hey Moonray has really done us a great favor with this translation component and module. It installs very easily even on my quirky open format template, is easy to configure and works great. Ok, granted it is an automated translation via Google and his newly added Yahoo, language engines, so it maybe isn't perfect, but what the hay, you have 12 languages beyond English that is at least converted well enough to help a foreign speaking person visit your site and understand it, etc. The time, effort and money to do manual translations to all those languages would be staggering. Moonray's support is awesome and he gives cool, generous discounts after becoming a Joomlaspan customer towards any future purchases. I have the free module on several sites and the pro component on one, (along with his pro search componet)--I will be installing the pro version on all my sites of international interest--I'd be a fool not to--gONZObLISS

Form me is the best option to make more accessible your web to the people of other countries or languages, make a professional translation is a hard job, it cost a lot and do you need to make changes every time do you want to change your web.

I would highly recommend Jtrans Pro component by joomlaspan.com. I have had no problems in installing the component and it took me less than 15 minutes to configure it. As far as quick translation goes this is the best module out there. We have used this on numerous websites, and the results are great. Quality of Translation:
JTrans PRo lets you choose between Google or Yahoo to translate the text. Google has recently updated its method of translation and I feel it gives better results (only tested French and Chinese). A lot of the translated text is still sometimes funny, but still understandable. It doesn't beat manual translation and probably never will, but visitors who aren't good at reading English appreciate it. After adding JTransPro on my website, I received some non-english comments that I never had in years. Those comments hint that people who do not understand English are still visiting my website and find that the computer-translated content is still understandable.

Search Engine Results:
After installing JTrans Pro, my website has went from not within the first 10 page to 1st page as the 3rd to 5th result for a specific two-word keyword on Google. I now receive around 3000-5000 visits/day from Google and about 7000/month from Yahoo. My Yahoo traffic is increasing considerably every month while my Google traffic is increasing very slowly. There are many factors that increased my websites search engine rankings, but I feel that JTrans Pro is a contributing part of it. When I google search "site:mydomain.com", it shows all the pages on my website and my website shows over 11,000 results and most of them are the translated web pages. Of all the website on the first page of Google for my two-word keyword, only four of them did not have over 5000 pages of results. So that is why I believe the number of pages on your website is an important factor in search engine results.

With Google Analytics, I noticed a few months after installing JTransPro that I was getting more visits from countries where English is not a primary language (ex. Vietnam, Mexico, Taiwan, etc.) and when I look at the referring search engine words/phrases statistics, I found a lot of non-English keywords. Those keywords bring in about 100-500 visits/month (varies a lot).

Performance:
It's really fast. Usually when you translate a page, you have to wait a while for Google to translate it. But with JTrans Pro, it stores a cache so that it loads immediately without having to wait for GOogle/Yahoo to translate the page every time.

Value:
I had to sleep on it before I decided to purchase this but I'm glad I decided to get it. If you have an established content-based website, think about getting this because it may improve your search engine results. This won't replace manual translation, but its a good alternative to it if you don't have the money to translate every page on your website.

What do I like about JTransPro?
It was very easy to install. Anyone can do it. All you have to do is follow the instructions. And better, the component, module and the mambot got installed all at once. And when the installation was over… I had a website with content in 12 languages. That was exactly what I was looking for. I have a catalog installed under my joomla site and even those pages were translated. This is really a great way to turn a simple site into a serious content authority site search engines like.

I purchased this extension to offer multilingual translation on my site. I received many negative comments from my site visitors regarding faulty translation.

I discussed the matter with the support and informed me the following reply:

"Translations are based on Google and Yahoo servers and we have no control over the quality of translations. being mechanical translation, it has its limitations, but it is getting better everyday. But I do not see mechanical translation equalling professional human translation any day."

Okay, so why do you sell a product to the public that is not there yet and why do you depend on other free translation providers like Google and Yahoo to do the job for you and package it as your product! Why don't your own legit ideas.

I also received an incentive offer email from seller asking me to write a positive review about the JTrans Pro extension in order to provide me with a free license to use one of their products. I consider this a bribe and if you have good reviews here it calls for concern if these were legit too!!
