This works great in joomla 1.5 with legacy mode on.
Joomlastats is just simple to use, my clients love working with it.
You guys should say its compatible with joomla 1.5!!

| Beware by paultidman, November 30, 2007 |

This is a great tool for stats but I find two major problems. Number 1, the database becomes huge and slows the site down to a crawl. Number 2, there is a URL that is installed as part of this tool that Google reads as a redirect and will consider you scum in terms of page rankings. As soon as I uninstalled the tool Google became a lot happier, it is not a fault of the tool, but a fault of Google, but at the end of the day Google rules the Internet.

| Good details but ... by vince24, November 22, 2007 |

Hi,
I'm using Joomlastats for more than six months ...
I really appreciate the details in the informations: like pathinfo, the separation of robots and spiders.
But some features are missing:
- graph view
- export to PDF
- some synthetic statistics (hours in the day, visits duration, ...)
- purge stats for a given period (not until today !)
JoomlaStats is the component providing the most pertinent statistics.
Thanks,
Vince

| Really well-done statistics component. by aaa.seo, October 6, 2007 |
|
I've tested 5 or 6 other components and found this one to be most bug-free and feature-rich. Also i liked that it's possible to remove any IP from statistic calculations with just one click.
Only hope authors would release an update sometime soon - 145 days without one it's a bit too long ...

| Straightforward Website Statistics by holdencreative, September 17, 2007 |

JoomlaStats is a nice, straightforward Joomla website statistics component - that is particularly good for non-techies and new users.
The options available for collecting data (with a module, bot, or template code) add a lot to the component, and give you the option of collecting data for each Joomla page - with the actual item titles.
That's a nice feature, and while JoomlaStats could probably use a tweak or two to its visual interface (simpler : better) it's a good component.

| Works Like a charm! even in 1.5 by nothing1, August 30, 2007 |

Well I've have been using this in many sites without a problem but I decided to try Joomla 1.5 and it was somewhat a mistake since there is almost nothing compatible. But hey you learn from mistakes. So eventually came the time I needed to add stats, so i was just hoping that JoomlaStats would work.
After installing perfectly, I installed bot for activating. DONT DO IT! it will corrupt everything, i had to manually go to my ftp and delete the bot files. then everything showed up again, and thanx to the work around of being able to put the php code to your template idex it has been working out great so far.
It might not sound like a perfect story but it is considering the're not many components that work like they should and JoomlaStat has not stated that this component is compatible with 1.5 but thank god it is.
Thank you so much JoomlaStats I wouldn't know what to do with out you.

This very simple-to-use extension simply provides everything you need in statistics and traffic reporting. Report by day, month, year, or all-time. See reports on browsers, systems, bots, referrers and more! This extension has made it on all of my sites since I discovered it. Thanks for a great component!

| Nice - Lots of details and yet some are missing... by eli, August 14, 2007 |

I have to say, I was a bit afraid at first as I read reviews stating problems with resource management (SQL database), but after install I learnt that it is not as bad as they say it is - actually - it is not bad at all. (plus there is an option to gzip or simply zero)
I like very much the ability to choose what to monitor and what not to monitor - and yet I would love to see more options such as: clicks by country, graph of number of visitors and not only clicks, time spent on site.
It is not the most professional solution, but I must admit, it is very close to be one...
Good job ppl

| BSQ vs JStats by Redfern, August 14, 2007 |
|
I tried BSQ sitestats first....and Joomlastats after
That can i say:
(+) Jstats have no dependencies on additional components ((-)BSQ need additional component installed first)
(+)Jstats seems to be faster (not slower site loading)
BSQ support creating charts using flash(+), but feature is really buggy(-), and in text mode BSQ summary really poor(-)
On other hand, Jstats provide only statistical tables with lot of information (+), bit sometimes this tables overloaded with unimportant data(-)
BSQ not really stable, then you have a LOT of data BSQ can really stop working or consume too much resources (-)
JStats have no problems with processing data, but it's tables grows really fast
Soo....
Bsq is more easy to use, but potentially troublemaker because tries to use advanced technics like Flash charts
Jstats more standart, but preferable on production sites
---
But i really missing flash charts...

| Activation module corrupts site by LiveM, July 1, 2007 |
|
Since updating to the latest version and using the activation module, several members could no longer access the website.
Our host advised a module had corrupted the Joomla installation and we finally realised it was this module as it was the only one in common with another site that had the same thing happen. Uninstalling it seems to have fixed the problem.

It only took me less than a minute to install and configure and it worked great on first try. It provides a lot of information, yearly or Monthly, from your visitors to Unknown bots/spiders. The provided information will give you a very detailed picture of your visitor. I highly recommend it for all Users. Keep up the Wonderfull work.

| Loved the stats...hated the load by mom2nine, April 14, 2007 |

The stats are outstanding, the interface is very nice, but the load it creates on the server is not a good thing. One month of traffic left me with 100MB of stuff, meaning the site loaded slowly and logging into the admin area was slower than molasses. Tried purging the database and it didn't empty the tables of all those files. Great idea, but needs those kinks worked out first.

Very good component! It allows you to keep track of your visitors with more info the Google Analytics and in real time! Also tracking the BOTS may be helpful.
I have used it in several websites, and once the bot seemed to crash the whole website - not 100% sure-.
