JoomlaStats is a USER AWARE statistics component for Joomla. Features: OS, browser, bots/spiders, referrers, last visitors, last bots/spiders, page hits, visitors by country, average visitors/bots, search engines, and keywords. Many modules are available to display statistics to the front end (more to come). From version 2.1.4 there's no need to tamper with your template. Just download a module to activate JoomlaStats. Visit the project home page for more info! ********************************************* ***************** Latest news ***************** ********************************************* Version 2.2.1 released (beta), This should fix the issue with not being able to summarize ********************************************* Visitors by Country module 2.4 released, check it out: http://www.joomlastats.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=102&Itemid=1 ********************************************* Make sure you have installed Joomla 1.0.10 or newer, but that shouldn't be an issue because you already installed that (due to some security issues) right? Oh btw if you use the counters module, you have to upgrade to mod_jstats_counters1.7.

I think I tried them all, and did uninsall TFS because of fears that the DB would get too big, but have finally settled on this. I like the intergration a lot, and while I would like to see some more development, I do believe this extension serves me the best of all the stats/counter products. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more development, especially in DB management, robot/bot reporting and module enhancements. Thanks !!

Be careful, this component will slow down your site by ijoomla, July 1, 2006

It took us 2 months to figure out why our super fast dedicated server was getting slower and slower to the point that it was dysfunctional. Then we found a forum post that indicated that TFS4Joomla can do that. As soon as we removed this component and all its tables, the site was back to normal.
The reason this happens is that it collects an enormous amount of information and it all sits right there on your database. It gets bigger and bigger all the time and it's just too much to handle.

Very Interesting component by giubertinik, June 29, 2006

I have been using Joomla Stats since it was TFS for Mambo. It is a very stable and interesting component.
It can be compared to a commercial statistic sofware but, lukily, it is easier to "read". No more complex as useless graphic bar, but essential data in a glance.
The only remarks: why Joomla Stats gives no data about users screen resolution and colours?

Been using TS4Mambo in my Mambo days, and after an upgrade to Joomla I was happily surprised to see that a new set of developers has lined up to continue the work on this great component.
Install is a breeze, and the modules that come with it are rich. Recommend it to everybody.

I had installed JoomlaStats on my site when it was version 2.1. Then I found it was the best tool to do stats. I like it so much that I even made a Chinese language file for it.
Highly recommend !

Nice software by micoots, May 31, 2006

It's surprising how quickly this software becomes useful for statistics collections, although it's still beta and many of the modules are early release or alpha stage, the developers promise continued improvements. It's already very nice and many of the modules are already usable.
Although when going to their website and registering, no matter what I did I was unable to actually login to the site, even though my username and password were correct (confirmed in email on registration), it fails login with incorrect username and/or password each time. When trying to "reset" the password using their "forgotten password" feature, Joomla returns "password reset failed". I tried to find other ways on the site to contact them but to no avail.
Because of this, I couldn't get involved in the support forums. For example, I would have liked the "Latest Visitors" module to not show the "Real Name" of the Joomla user but just the "Username", I wanted to mention that in the forums but without a login, I couldn't leave a forum message.
Anyway.. none of that detracts from the component, it's useful and worth the installation.

Caffeinecoder really delivers by bigapple, April 20, 2006

The Caffeinecoder really delivers quality software, I must admit.
Smart enough to have this mambot instead of php-code added in every template, this makes it a lot easier. Although I'd like to see all the other front-end modules which I can't find anywhere...

Not only IP and nslookup, but even Joomla username aware by RoBoRoBo, April 9, 2006
|
After a super easy installation (just a component and a mambot) it directly started to collect the stats. These are presented verry nicely on the admin page.
All stats applications will provide you with visitors IP addresses, maybe even nslookup info. JoomlaStats (starting from version 2.1) now even provides (Joomla) logged in user information!
There is even a (beta) module available to show top visitors (by Joomla username!) as number of visits and/or number of page hits. Another (beta) module shows you the latest visitors.
Just give it a try...
