This is a good component. Unfortunately still not joomla 1.5.x compatible. The template (tables) and the features also need some improvements.

Further is the installation simple, the joblist works great, the view latest jobs module is also a nice addition.

A module with lot's of potential but a lot of work still has to be done. Can't wait till version 1.2, hope it will be released soon.

Keep up the good work by Interpro, September 19, 2008

Best Job Listing\Application Extension I've Found by dopenkly, September 13, 2008
I've only been using Joomla for a few days and found this extension to be very easy to use. If I better understood coding I probably could modify some of the fields to suit my needs a bit better (e.g. I'm not quite sure what the reference field is for and wouldn't mind if it disappeared as well as some of the other fields in the add-job process). As another reviewer recommended, the ability to have front-end users be able to delete and edit jobs would be superb! Not having this is going to make administering this a little tricky, but I've got a month or so to work on it before the site that's using this extension will be live.

This is really great work, thanks for sharing. I'll definitely donate.

Great component by peewee, August 21, 2008
It works very well. The most important thing i miss and still want is that users can edit or delete vacant jobs.

Perlfan : is it possible to ditribute the plugin you made with CB ?

GREAT Component by lriggs, August 16, 2008

However, it's hard to customize to a desired layout. For example, I would like to replace the "Company" column with "City" and "State" columns since my users want to see the city/state location first, then click to see the complete posting and learn the company.

Enabling front-end editing/deleting for the users who posted the jobs would be very nice, although I recognize the complexity that could create.

Owner's reply:
A new release is coming, where it will be possible to use all fields in the lists as well. It will also include frontend editing by users and a whole lot more.

I just need to get my site back up, which will be any day now. Then I can start working on packaging an alpha release.

Great Component by mplayer, August 12, 2008
This is probably the best job posting component out there. However, the support is hard to get since the developer site has been down for quite some time.

Im also looking for the front end edit and delete for users, and i cant find the developers edition on the joomlacode repository.

Good component by perlfan, August 5, 2008

Thank you for publishing jobline. It has helped me to build a job center on my website.

I programmed the two very important - unfortunately missing - features myself (runs with community builder):
1. users can edit their jobs
2. users can delete their jobs

I integrated Jobline into Acajoom as well, so users can sign up for automatic job mailings.
If you are interested in the features, let me know.

I'm curious what future updates will offer!

Thanks again, Frank

Owner's reply:
Edit and delete are available in the development version as well. Along with a whole bunch of other stuff.

The development version is available via joomlacode repository for the Jobline project. If you don't know how to use this I wouldn't recommend trying it though. But developer's shouldn't have any problems using it, and I'd be very happy to allow write access for committing changes.

Great product - Highly recommended by XBumble, June 27, 2008

The product install simply and easily - always something you want!

There were a couple of issues I had (turned out to be local and nothing to do with this software). After emailing Olle, he replied back to me within half and hour on 3 separate occasions, which was greatly appreciated.

The software is simple and easy to use and the ability to re-style the pages could not have been made easier for anyone who knows HTML and CSS.

Whilst the software may not have categories etc., it's simplicity makes it a strength in my mind.

Good work Olle!

Very Good by Kayz, June 23, 2008
Very good extentsion however i would strongly suggest a few things for a module like this. Allow users to upload a doc file and their CV and also make customising the pages a lot easier rather than hard coding.

Also the ability to add an image to the template not new job postings but the actuall default template if thats possible at all.

But all in all i would give this module a 7/10!

Owner's reply:
File attachment to application email has been added and will be in v1.1.3 which is under testing at the moment.

Changing templates can easily be done by editing the template files. No need to edit the code. The templates can even be edited directly from the Administrator interface. It's also possible to have several different template sets.

Great support! by tmarshall, May 28, 2008

Product is good. I installed it for our HR department so I don't use it. What I can comment on is the support...Olle held my hand when this thing broke (my fault, not his script) and got me fixed up in no time!

Good component - needs additional features by camuca, May 19, 2008

So far the best job component for joomla.

Nice idea..but..there are questions. by lbk, May 1, 2008
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:
First of all, it does what it says (or at least most of them).

I have tried this component and worked very well for me so far.

When the user "Applies for a Job", where does the application goes?

Is there a place for me to retrieve the application and process it?

And also, is there a possibility to upload CV (as a document)?

Appreciate any help on it. :)

Wow fast and easy by joomlaman, April 17, 2008
Best out-of-the box job site program I have seen. Simple yet complete. Nice work!

Does what it says by mojowill, April 10, 2008
Nice little component, perfectly suited to a small company wanting to post their own vacancies, I agree however that ecaptha would be a useful addition

nether the less a great addition to joomla thank you!

No major problems by rogimon, March 26, 2008
I find this componet to be very good. I agree that there could be categories for job types but I can overlook that for my needs. I am also having problems with the extra fields that I would like to get sorted out.
