JM Portfolio
This is a Flash based paged-portfolio script complete with Joomla! administration area. This script utilises the Joomla! Media Manager to upload pages to a directory; which is then manageable through the components own Portfolio Manager. This allows the user to publish (or unpublish) items in the directory, and also change the order of the viewable images. This component has extensive configuration options accessed through the Portfolio Manager. Changelogs Version 1.0 - Beta Release Version 1.1 - Flash update, work with CMS within a directory Version 1.2 - German + Spanish Translations, and vertical orientation Any suggestions or bug reporting can be made directly to the developer. Translations would be a great addition to the project too!

We're presently working on a native J1.5.x version so please keep checking here.

The best image flipper I've come across by qwickmalik, November 2, 2007
This is probably the best free image gallery I've come across. Tried a couple of others, but none worked as i wanted it. This one is perfect

Gallery or Portfolio by wilson1973, September 11, 2007

Great looking component, however I feel that it lacks a lot for what is called a portfolio component.

There doesnt appear to be any way to link images to specific examples (i.e. websites, nor is there any place to put descriptive text.

So for me I chose to use this as a gallery, as I feel this is more apt.

Nice work though guys, would like to see some more additions to this to make it a true 'portfolio' component.

Great use of flash - a real show stopper by studiogrynn, September 10, 2007

Excellent work by the JuicyMedia crew! The interactive flash page-flips have to be seen to be appreciated. Tons of flexibility are built in to a very easy to use interface. The ability to switch from a vertical binding to a horizontal one, means that the user is not limited to a book like view, but can opt for a calendar type presentation - a nice, well thought out touch. Overall, this component has earned great kudo's for a v1 release. This component appears to only support one directory of images, and only one portfolio. I am sure there must be a workaround to allow different portfolios on the same site ( one for each "category"). The only issue I ran into on setup:
The template .psd file supplied has a different aspect ratio than the default presentation settings (540p x 380px), so images presented too narrow in relationship to their height (i.e. circles will present as slightly tall ovals). Increasing the default presentation width by 100 pixles to 640px x 380px resulted in proper image aspect.

This flash version of this component is very great. With a “pageflip” effect, this component can be also used to present other documents or catalogues. If in the future it were possible to directly upload PDF they would be marvellous, perhaps that will come?!?!?!
