SOBI Gallery
The Gallery Plugin for SOBI2 allows adding an unlimited number of images to an entry.

Thumbnails will be shown in the Details View vertically or horizontally. By clicking on a thumbnail a big image will be shown in the Lightbox of Lokesh Dhakar or alternatively in Slimbox by Christophe Beyls if MooTols library is already installed. Also it is possible to show the images in a popup window (best results in Firefox only).

In the Category View (on each V-Card) the number of images of an entry and/or the first thumbnail of the Gallery can be shown. If no Gallery images are available for an entry a "no images available" text can be shown alternatively.

A description can be added to each image. The description will be shown in the Lightbox and as image-alt-tag. Adding images to the Gallery only by administrator is also possible.

The number of images per row is adjustable, so the Gallery can be shown in multiple columns and rows. The table sizes are calculated automatically depending on the thumbnail size (if adjusted).

For the Gallery there are language files available for Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, English, German and Spanish. Missing texts are always in English.

The plugin requires at least SOBI2 RC2.8.x.

Not a great pluggin for me... by ilan5555, November 12, 2007
I tried to install the gallery and I couldn't add flv files, neither show anything (even with wmv).
I tried to search for a tutorial or a manual and I couldn't find anything.

Payment Option by Entrecon, April 14, 2007

On my site I charge to add an Image. This plugin, however, does not allow a payment option. It would be nice if I could charge for the users to include their extra images.

Great component by aztc, January 8, 2007

Absolutely, positively one of the best components I have ever used. First I paid for mosDirectory, then paid for mosTree and mambocharge, then wised up and switched to SOBI2. Enough said.

Nice addon... by WebJIVE, November 26, 2006

What would make this rock is if it supported MP3's and YouTube video ID numbers. This would put SOBI Gallery over the top compared to others. The ultimate combo would be to pair up SOBI Gallery, AllVideos Plugin (or one of the others) and a reviews component. You would have a major milestone for a media gallery that a lot of people have been wanting!

SOBI is a great product. Used it and gallery recently for a small prototype site.

Incredible - simple, easy, & it works! by stevek2, November 4, 2006

Gallery was simple. Install it, upload the new SOBI2 templates and it worked perfectly. You could teach the gang in Redmond something!

The results are very professional looking. Thanks for this great plugin.

The only way you could improve it is to make a plugin to accept PDF's. A restaurant could scan in their menus! Or Coupons.
