This SearchBot overcomes an incompatability bug for MySQL version below 4.1. This is the SearchBot that completes your JoomlaBoard installation. With this plug in, your visitors can search your forum from the built in Joomla! search component. No longer will they have to enter your forum are to get the results they are looking for. Many enhancements and fixes have been implemented in this version. Features Of This SearchBot: * Choose the section name to be displayed in the results (My Forum / Forum Category) * Choose the number of search results to return. * Display forum category matches as well as message matches. You can choose to display the category results before or after the message results or not at all. * Choose how to handle Bulletin Board Code when found in the search results. * Support for "All", "Exact, and "Any", word match. * Full support for ordering including most popular items first. * Check for new versions of the plug in on the SearchBot configuration screen.

In zip archive is mistake. You cannot install this fine plugin. Downlaod, extract zip, rename to right joomlaboard.searchbot.php, and then compress ale files back to zip. After abowe is installation succesfull.

Yes, this report is correct! The zip file did contain a misspelled filename.I guess there were 2 errors in the file name since I had fixed another error already. The file has been fixed. Thank you for your report.

I had previously installed a different searchbot for Joomlaboard, but this searchbot displays nicer results and has the advantage of being able to strip bbcode for the description in the search results.

So the results it returns are the same but the results are returned in a nicer format. I am using this searchbot together with others for Docman, Gallery2, and mosDirectory (besides the default Joomla ones) to provide quick search access to nearly all the content on my site through the main Joomla search engine. This is SO nice for the users... one-stop shopping.
