* Link to one or more content items
* Specify number of items in list
* Format created date however you like
* Can function as Latest News, Popular News, Menu module etc...

Excellent by Basdub, May 4, 2007
The only thing i would add is the sorting by order. Lot's of module offer to sort by order. That way it's easier to rearrange the list.

Owner's reply:
Ordering by 'ordering' is now supported.

Does what it says by thefoxtrotter, April 29, 2007
Really liked it, makes everything a little snazzier. Just wondering how to make the tooltip width a bit bigger?

Owner's reply:
Enter: WIDTH, 400

in the 'advanced tooltip parameters' textbox in module settings. The width is in pixels.

This is a really nice module - does what is says. Would be nice as a plugin as well!!

The only thing is some of my content have photos so when I enable tool tip all you basically see is the photo. Would be nice to have a way to omit images/photos from tool tip.

Owner's reply:
enabling / disabling images in the tooltip is now supported.

Excellentissime by reniera, April 22, 2007
Excellent replacement for the Mod_Latestnews standard Joomla module. Everyone, look at it !

Great work by chocogirl35b, April 14, 2007
Easy to install, easy to configure, I can copy it and use it a million times if I want to. Simply - great work, thank you for sharing it :-))

I found this module excellent and very useful. No problem in installation at all. You just need to specify Content ID or Category/Section ID and link is displayed. In case any content is reserved for registered users only, the link is not displayed until registered user logs in. It motivates me to create some module for public at large. Thanks a lot.

Very satisfied by Rich, March 13, 2007
This module is very useful for me, but first I had some problems with the operation. I contacted the developer, he repaired the code within 24 hours and it's working perfectly now.

What a perfect piece off work! This is what i always wanted. Perfect that you can style the tooltip in the module! Also perfect that there are 3 ways off displaying the list. And also fantastic the possibility of putting a createdata....and so on...and so on. Highly recommended!

Unpubliced Items? by twix, February 3, 2007

Great Module! Only one thing: Unpubliced content is shown when listing a Section.

It should be included as a standard Joomla! module by realokun, January 19, 2007
I was looking for the way to display the links to the latest news on my website that are associated with a specific category. This module does it! The standard Joomla! mod_latestnews module just picks whatever junk was published on the website without letting you to select a category. Two thumbs up!!!

very easy by Pasajero, December 19, 2006
It was very easy to setup, thanks!

Please add support for the 'moduleclass_sfx', and consider independent css files (or include them as part of module parms) to allow for multiple copies of the module.

Owner's reply:
New verion (1.4) supports the module class suffix and ordering by hits.

This module works well and is easy to configure. I would agree with the previous review and add that a random the ability to rotate random content within a section, category or listed content items would be a very good addition to the module. Thank you.

Simple & fast by karl19, November 7, 2006

I used the Extended Menu module before this one and while it was good, I was always puzzled about the delay in posting new content items to my menus. This module is flawless and works without hassle. The only thing missing for me was the ability to order the items - the author included that option in the updated version the very same day! Highly recommended.
