The OMS-Itratos Package consists of two components and four modules which allow the Joomla User to integrate about 24.000 songs of all kinds of alternative music (from rock till jazz, from blues till worldmusic from about 6.000 bands and artists) to his content easily.
The Webpage User has the possibility to select different music genres or choose the whole content (administrable) for his page.

Modules: Latest Songs, Latest Concerts, Latest Downloads and Top Downloads could be switched on separately.
Furthermore there is the possibility to grant access to the page visitor for downloading or streaming songs.
In this connection you can elect if the visitor has to registrate or if the access for the content is free for all visitors.
Detailed installation instructions and further information http://www.openmusicsource.net (OMS network) are included in the package.

Great but.... by Martend, February 24, 2007

When I started reading about this component I thought great! I have some nice extra content for my site and I'm supporting artists through my website. So I wanted to install it and there is where the roundtrip started, first register on a website to download the components and modules, after that starting to read how to install it, hmm I have to go to another site and register me again to get access to the "free" music and what's that about 1gig bandwith for free and than pay for it? hmm ok let's go on, what I'm not done installing? I have to edit my template? Hmm ok for this time, cause I still liked the idea. So at last I have 2 components and 4 modules installed, edit my template and i'm ready to go, add a menu item for the component and ready! Hmmmm no not ready, the component displays artists but I want a list of music categories, where can i edit that? Back to the component configuration / list configuration no,no,no hmmm Let's go back to the forum hmm.. I have to make sepperate links and give extra codes with it... than I lost it, just to much configuring, altering, editing... so a good potential but to hard for me to set it up and I do know my coding, but I just got lost in the different components, menu's and modules....
