AutoArticles 3000
As everybody know the most important thing to have a website with high traffic is to have fresh content all the time. AutoArticles 3000 component integrates free and fresh redistributed articles from Articles3000.com to your Joomla powered site. It works fully automatically, so no maintenance from your side is required. The module is pre-filled with 230 articles so you're starting from this number.
New version includes most wanted categories management. So you can now enable/disable specific categories.
Only thing is waiting for you: Integrate Google Adsense and enjoy.

Good Start by roadrage, November 12, 2008
This is a good start on a good idea, but you can't configure this module at all. You're stuck with the categories presented.

Very Good by binod, October 27, 2008
I would have rated "excellent" if it had the following features:

1. Joomla! SEF Support.
2. Articles be downloaded on the server.

We always want more. But, it's really good if not excellent.

Nice concept, poor follow through by phraughy, October 10, 2007
No documentation and no forum for help. Component is very limited in user configuration and additionally author has decided for you which categories he deems popular. Concept for component is but nice this component is in its infant stages and could be developed substantially. However as Component has not been updated in nearly a year it is unlikely that this component will be developed.

Does what is says it will do by Figster1, September 5, 2007
I gave it 4 stars as it does do what the author says it will do. I agree with other post here in that there needs to be some customization available. Great starter tool! I would love to be able to have my authors add their articles directly in to the directory the component created, also I would like to be able to ad adds to the content. The author mentions tthat in the teaser, without being able to do it.

Abandoned??? by Moxxnixx, May 30, 2007

This module had great potential. But, for the last month, the article titles have disappeared from each article page. This problem is with all installations I've come across, including their demo site. I submitted a post about it on their "support" forum 3 weeks ago and still no response or acknowledgment.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no support for this module. Once you install it, you're on your own.

could be better by arielp, April 15, 2007
If there were a way to control stuff like: layout, colors, etc. it would be an awesome plugin.
In my case, my site has a gray background ands the "About The Author" part has a light gray background, so basically it's unreadable.
and maybe the ability to choose in which categories we would like to post the articles in and not just in one place.

Great Component - Needs Tuning SEF - More Button Give 404 Error by 247mixers, February 27, 2007
Super! However, the "more" text link crashes on me. I am using ARTIO SEF 1.3.3 which is an indispensable component for my site. Also I installed Joomla in a directory called "home" not the root. The "more" link is missing the "home" directory. Links to the articles that got pulled in worked but somehow did not translate to SEF URLs.

Looking forward to a version that works with ARTIO SEF!

Joomla Search plugin for Articles3000 by georgec, February 8, 2007
This is a great component!
If you have this you may want to get a3000.searchbot which would extend Joomla Search to look within the articles pulled by this component.

Documentation would be nice.... by tj.baker, February 7, 2007
This component has great potential, however, it is lacking in documentation, and this is a problem.

Also, it is nice to see the creator(s) read reviews and implement a way to choose articles to publish, however, the list is rather small compared to the list of articles on the actual website.

Finally, it would be nice to be able to insert a category, or categories into a content item for publishing.... can you do that one??

Keep up the good work, and this offering will be top notch!

still not great by fknippenberg, January 28, 2007

Category management is added but doesn't cover all of the available categories that are on the articles3000 website.

Does what it says by TWDesigns, November 28, 2006
This component interested me for one reason and that was pulling in articles with ease. I have played with others and the worked OK but this one has a nice layout and even though it can't be customized just yet it does a good job of filling gaps on sites that need content now.

I would recommend giving it a try if you're just starting out and need content.

I like it by Sammy9690, November 20, 2006

Worked great out of the box. Articles have quality content. I spent a good hour or more reading the articles myself.

The author should have a bulletin board on his site to discuss his extention. The code could be cleaned up a little. After I checked this extention for xhtml compliance I had over 200+ warnings. I fixed the & to &, fixed some to etc in the code then it passed validation. Having a way to select the categories would be great too.

The concept is great. by bigtimeout, November 11, 2006
the concept is great, but I agree that you need more control over the categories but I can see this having a great future and spawning a lot of copycats. my site is a local entertainment site and I don't want automobile articles. But wow would I like something like this to give my frontpage a lift and content. And I don't even have to cut and paste the articles.

An interesting component by Mtif, November 11, 2006
I tried this out just out of interest, and was impressed. It immediately shows lots of new content with no work to be done. Its smooth, easy to load and well integrated.

So if you want lots of topical and varied content, without any effort, this is great.

For me though I can't find a use. The sites I work upon all have single purpose and I would like to specify the type of content I get. But there are no options that I could see the limit the stories offered to particular themes.

Also I am unsure about the SEO advantages (to me) of placing several hundred content links to another site. Although I am perfectly happy to stand corrected on this point.

Needs to be configurable by Templecloud, November 11, 2006
First the good points: This component is simple to install and does indeed import a large number of articles on to your site. The articles I read were of a better quality than those from many similar sites - decent grammar and something useful to say, and no obligatory box of adverts.

The problem is that there is no way of configuring any options or selecting which categories of articles you get - and I certainly don't want a section about "Auto & Trucks" at the top of the list!!

Also if a large number of people end up with identical content - which is what this component offers at present -it won't do anyone any favours with Google.

Basic instructions would be useful as there are no options to configure... It took me a couple of minutes of wondering why nothing had appeared to realise that I had to set up a menu link and that the content would be imported to that page - not into the general content folder.

This component could be very useful if there was a way of specifying which categories of articles you want to have rather than getting them all. Also I'd prefer to be able to get rid of articles that I don't agree with...

I couldn't find info on Articles3000.com about how you can use the articles without the component - which I'd prefer to do at present.

I'll watch for developments - but meanwhile uninstall...

Owner's reply:
We added categories management now. It is configurable through admin area.
