Great system by emoore, January 12, 2007
I plugged this in and WOW! What a wonderful experience. The layout is nice and compact and allows my users to submit work orders.

I have tried other so-called ticket systems, but this is a real winner!

Opensource Excellence by bigassgrin, November 23, 2006

My hat goes off to the group that created Taskhopper! I am using it in our business and it works great. The technical support is fast and strong.

A little history is worth sharing. I have installed and tested over 15 CMS opensource packages before settling on Joomla. Once settled I have installed and tested well over 80 components and modules to identify tools that would truly be useful and reliable. Managing tasks is one of the most critical productivity demands our business has and I had been very frustrated with the lack of Joomla support in this arena until I found Taskhopper. I was an early tester of their software before v1.0 and liked it. When I installed 1.0 I loved it. It was not perfectly suited to my needs, however, modifying a few of their files for text edits was easy and I now have a near perfect solution that is easy to use for myself and our employees. I was hoping to use V1.1 but the MySQL version running on our server is not new enough. I am a little bummed, but not seriously as V1.0 is strong enough to meet my needs.

My sincere thanks to the TaskHopper group for your hard work and generosity. It is software like yours that inspires me to upgrade to newer technology to fully leverage what you have created. Taskhopper makes Joomla not just nicer but STRONGER.

Gratefully,

Trill

Taskhopper is fantastic by tigasuku, November 22, 2006

I am one of several project managers working on a multi-vendor telecommunications project for schools in Southeastern Louisiana. In sum, the various vendors involved provide everything from network and cabling design and deployment to the professional and engineering services that go along with them for schools impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

The project is a wonderful example of a truly ad-hoc collaborative effort. Tracking the efforts of the entire team is, quite frankly, a nightmare. The project is so diverse and includes so many individuals from different organizations that a web based information exchange and tracking solution with user contributed content was really the only way to go.

The most important aspect of every tool we evaluated for use in collaboratively managing and tracking the project was the learning curve. I love DotProject, bit there is no chance that I’ll ever get anyone to learn to use it for a one time project. I know because I tried and failed.

What did work was to integrate specialized add-ons and modules in our Joomla powered project site. Each tool (scheduling calendar, forum, etc.) that we deployed caught on quickly and we have enjoyed a great measure of success.

The critical gap we had to fill was to find an effective task management tool that everyone could learn to use quickly. Fortunately, I was offered the opportunity to deploy Taskhopper as a beta prior to general release.

We have been using it for a few months now with outstanding results. The authors have achieved a perfect blend of usability and effectiveness. Taskhopper is a critical component in our overall effort to manage a very complex and rapidly moving project.

If you need an adaptable, feature rich and easy to use task management tool for your site look no further. Download and install Taskhopper today.

Very nice service request system by yellar, November 22, 2006

After testing Taskhopper for the last 1.5 months, I have found it to be an excellent component for organizing service requests or work orders. In particular the component allows for the customization that I need to make it work for my organization.

Two features that I have come to find invaluable (and which I have not found on similar software) is the ability to have guests submit requests, and an add-on module that lists basic information about requests pending and open requests. This module allows employees to quickly track tasks without necessarily having Taskhopper running in the foreground of your Joomla site.
