 Produces regular invoices for recurring payments, supports paid user subscriptions, records all income and expenditure, order management, customisable order forms, handles tax, carriage, currencies, discounts, nominal ledgers, etc. Users can log in and view their orders and invoices online. Payment gateways allow for orders and invoices to be paid for online. Gateways are supplied for PayPal, Authorize.net, eWAY, SECPay, ProtX, Quantum, and Worldpay. Other gateways are available commercially through 3rd parties, and developer instructions for creating new gateways are provided. Please note, this component does not allow customers to browse your products online, nor does it contain a shopping cart. Products or services can be purchased online using order forms which you define in the component's back end. Ideal for companies with a limited range of products, or who sell services or subscriptions rather than consumer goods. Can also be used as a standalone bookkeeping system for sales made online or offline. Please also note, some of the files in this component are protected with ionCube Encoder, so you will need the appropriate ionCube loader installed on your web server to be able to use it. Most web hosting companies provide this by default. Many of the files are left unencoded however, to allow for customisation. This component will work on Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode only. Also works with Mambo 4.6.2 onwards. We bought nBill a couple of months ago because for the invoice handling that we needed it looked like it would do the job and I'd read here that support was excellent.
I'm here to confirm that Ive never been more amazed. Forum requests seem to be reviewed several times a day and support given to all levels of users. Being a programmer myself, I guess we are doing fairly complex things with it (adding invoice records from other systems) and its testament to the package (and the event handling system)that we can do what we are doing. We actually chose Joomla 1.5 as a solution BECAUSE of nBill.

I wanted to make it clear that nBill is much more than it's description. We needed a recurring billing subscription component and having tried for weeks with AEC to get it working properly, even with support, I looked again at nBill but couldn't see in the description if this was possible, so I sent a ticket, which they replied to in a couple of hours confirming my hopes.
nBill has truly comprehensive documentation and superb support including a forum and I had the component fully configured for subscription sign up, which handles registration and charges the new member a monthly recurring fee within a day, and I didn't need to contact them for help, but just followed the documentation.
What is even better is the invoicing and accounting element which will make the accounts a doddle as we can just export them and email it to our accountants.
It doesn't work like a shopping cart, you have to individually configure each purchase form whether it be for a physical product, downloadable product or subscription, but it is pretty easy with the documentation.
Truly fantastic and robust component. At £50 for a lifetime licence this is a steal.

The only complaint I have about nBill is that it has too much in it!
By that I mean that there is so much thought gone into the product that there are solutions to your problems built in that you hadn't even thought of.
I've used it on 3 sites so far. The latest has a huge amount of functionality in a legacy system which I am porting to a Joomla platform.
Everything I've wanted to do via e-commerce can be done with nBill. Every time I've had a problem the support team has pointed me in the right direction by return email.
When I needed an Australian payment gateway developed nBill pointed me in the direction of a third party developer (in Siberia of all places). For a very modest payment said gateway was delivered and has worked flawlessly since.
Could not recommend nBill and Netshine more highly.

I have been working with nBill for around 3 months now and have to say that I am really impressed; not only with the product but also the highly responsive service.
The product does what it says and it does it really well. You can tell when a piece of software has been designed well vs something that has just evolved over time. This product was well thought out. Coming from Australia I often find that software designed for other countries does not quite fir the bill ;-) but this one certainly does.
When I have had questions, they are answered very promptly. For me this is a very important reason to go with any software provider. I really hate those providers that answer one message every 24 hours. nBill answers promptly and then stays with you until all your problems are solved.
Well done nBill - you have set a benchmark in quality of product and service.

I installed nBill without a hitch. There were no problems that I experience other than having my own problems setting up the Authorize.net payment gateway to work with Authorize.net. Although it was my own oversight, the nBill support team did not hesitate to help me over the hurdle.
I'll also mention the great functionality of nBill. I had a lot if requirements for my billing solution and nBill worked 100%, right 'out of the box'. Furthermore, the additional functionality helped me to extend my site without having to customize any of the code in nBill. Their events directories were the perfect solution.

Overall very impressive.
I would definitely consider this extension for site memberships / subscriptions, basic product sales, and donation processing (due to the recurring billing option). Documentation is outstanding. The custom form builder is powerful, and while it's complex, there's a great tutorial in the docs.
The myriad of options for payment handling make nBill very versatile, and there are hooks for including custom processing functions.
One drawback: the component doesn't remove its database tables when uninstalled. Owner's reply: By default, the database tables are not removed on uninstallation, to allow you to upgrade by uninstalling and re-installing without losing your data. HOWEVER, you CAN very easily remove all of the database tables by clicking the 'Delete Tables' button on the global configuration page. After that, using the Joomla uninstaller will completely remove all traces of nBill from your system. What more can I say - I had a pres-sales query on a saturday afternoon and sent a message expecting a reply on Monday morning... It came within 90minutes!
Since then the levels of customer service have been running at 300% meaning that I bought nBill after less than 20 hours testing and have yet to be disappointed.
Easy to install and configure (I am a complete novice) and if you do struggle (I was trying to go beyond my knowledge level of joomla) they remain calm, polite, helpful and respond quickly.

I felt compelled to register so I could review this product.
Accustomed to the FREE'ness of Joomla components I was initially reluctant to pay for this, but I needed a subscription service to replace PayPal's recurring billing service which was giving me constant grief.
The more I delved into nBill the more it's versatility showed through. I have been using it several weeks now, and had excellent support from Netshine, now I'm finding where there is a problem, the solution is already in place - so well done Netshine.
I can see this program being further developed and when it does it will be hard for anyone to find anything to beat this.

While it's not a full ERP suite, this program is great for both product based sales and especially for simply using it as a billing platform for professional services.
The backend integrates very well, and the system integrated well when I tested with the paypal sandbox and 2CO.

I was in need of a component primarily to sell subscriptions on my site. Granted, there are other components for this that are cheaper, but they don't even come close to the range of features that nBill provides.
I took a blind leap of faith and skipped the free trial, and didn't regret it a bit. Installs out of the box without a hitch, and there's buku documentation to guide you EVERY step of the way.
There's so many features that it took me a little while to get the hang of how things worked, but after I did, it was clear to me that it was well worth the money.
Support:
I had an issue after updating to the newest version late last night. Sent a support request to Russell...this morning, all is well in my world. Not bad for being across the pond.
Highly recommended. Nice integration with CB for me (even though Russell says it's minimal and further integration will be looked at), and a MUST HAVE for any e-commerce business.

I want to start off by saying that I have not yet even used this product nor have I even purchased it ... I just installed the demo version yesterday.
After installing the demo version yesterday I was having a difficult time getting this component to work correctly. I emailed Netshine about the issue and in just a few hours someone had replied. Moreover, after giving them permission to the admin side of the site they were able to get the product working ... all within a few hours ... on a demo product!!
Regardless of software function or wheather it fits my needs I would highly recomend this company due to their commitmnet to service ... not something that is practiced by many vendors these days.
Thanks to Russell W. for the great service and I look forward to working with you and your company.
