Eventing is a event handling component that offers table or calendar view. You can link to other websites or open a details page inside your own website. It includes submitting of new events by users, automatically removing of past events, multi-day events, the possibility for repeated events, translated full-text dates, and numerous displaying options. There's also a module and a searchbot available.

Thank you! by tanko, March 15, 2008
I'm very happy with Eventing. I tried *lots* of Event and calendar components, but most of them couldn't give me the frontend support I needed.

I work with sites I don't want to backend upload all the time but let users do it. Eventing does that and is very simple!

The calendar was the only thing that was missing, but now Eventing has one and it's nice, fully customizable by CSS!

The only couple of problems and requests I got:

1- When you set an event that lingers more than 1 day, you won't get the notice at the calendar. Only the first day will be highlighted and display the event name. I think it's an issue that could be worked around.

2- A backend option to style the calendar would be welcome!

Wonderfully Simply and Functional by datawebusa, February 14, 2008
After evaluating two other products, one that only allowed adding events from the frontend, and another that charged a 'delivery fee*', I choose this one. There's no calendar, but I don't need one. I just need to list events that automatically disappear after they have ended. This is it.

*NOTE: I don't mind paying for software. I have paid plenty. But call it what it is.

Nice and simple... by dbanes, January 14, 2008
This is great because it's easy to understand the code and modify it, however there are some bugs, particularly the module doesn't display the events time, possibly because it's not stored in the database correctly?

Just what I needed! by agentk98, December 13, 2007
I am creating a site for a womens org and Eventing was just what the site needed. Simple enough for the thousands of viewers that need to check/submit events and not get confused with all the options.

blacklens is also gem! Very helpful with updates (even daily) and he/she doesn't get a dime out of this.

Love it! by zuze, November 8, 2007
I love the simplicity of this event calendar - perfect for my needs!

There is a small bug that needs to be corrected, please...:)
_SUBMIT_EVENT is not defined and it does not allow registered user to submit event.

Please fix the bug.

I defined it (also translated to latvian language), let me know where to send the language file.

Just right by karaya69, November 3, 2007
Nice simple component which works just fine. Too bad it doesn't have the dutch language included, but if you would like toe have it. Just ask!

Great simple event list! by dennybot, October 7, 2007
I'm really happy with the component. It offered a simple elegant solution to posting racing events with external links.

I am, however, having issues with the accompanying module, which is not displaying events correctly or pruning properly. I'm working on that now, but all in all a nice component.

Does what it says by deebee, September 29, 2007
This is an excellent, simple component with a front end module that does exactly what is says - lists event on a site with a click through to a more detailed page. Easy install and easy config.

Works great! Under-rated component! by nniiccoollee, September 1, 2007
I've been looking for a simple events calendar that would show UPCOMING events for entirely too long - until I came across Eventing!

My only wish would be a module to display an actual clickable calendar.
Love it!

Nice basic Event List by belak, August 23, 2007
This component and module was used for a basic event list with Joomla 1.0.12. I didn't need anything to fancy. Eventing provides the most necessary features an event list should have.

I found the code well commented and easy to modify for my needs. I want to say thanks and great job.

Perfect Simple Event Listing by yaani, June 28, 2007
Install went perfectly. Module displays event list just as I need it to. It would be awesome if it had a feature added - front end submission of events through the usermenu. I am trying to add this myself but don't have the php skills.

Good component but... by markpickford, June 15, 2007
This is a good component and works exactly as advertised.

It does however need a small modification. At present when an event is selected the html title in the page shows 'Calendar' and not the title of the event.

Correct this and the component would receive an 'excellent' rating.

Some errors by pmertens, June 12, 2007
A very simple component excellent for beginners and webdeveloppers who do not want to do great things with their event-stuff.
I got some errors on my site by using Events

[Mod Note LorenzoG: removed some error examples)

finaly by shiva20, April 10, 2007
finaly what i was looking for
just the event and the date and the description :)

i'm so happy

one question, is there a way to turn of the detail page??

Problem when menu has "Table - Content Category " by bypc, March 6, 2007
The module and component works perfectly as how I wanted.

The only problem is when the module has a bug whenever there is a menu with Table-Content Category link on the Main menu. When the moduke is unpublihed, the content table works perfectly and vice versa.

Error massage appears in Module:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class mospagenav in /home/bahaimal/domains/bahaimalaysia.com/ public_html/home/administrator/includes/pageNavigation.php on line 21

Anyone can help me fix this?

Regards,

BYPC
