This module shows a timed banner rotator using images from whereever you choose (put in the url of the image). You can put links on the individual images, and also assign individual delays. Based on Smooth Slideshow by Jonathan Schemoul.

* Added pre-loading of files in order to get it working with Internet Explorer. (Which seems to not load the pictures, if not pre-loaded for some reason).

* Changed "Image" to "Image url" in order to avoid confusion.

Great module but no css class by chozma, March 22, 2008

This installed perfectly on Joomla 1.0.15 and was very easy to set-up. On the whole very good and does what I need it to. One suggestion: it is a shame you cannot add a css class to the module, this is making styling it quite hard!

I had looked all over for a module that would be able to provide what this one does, and as simply as it does as well. I made two small modifications, one to enable the module to work with Joom!Fish, and the other to have 14 images per instance of the module.

I was experiencing problems with the module in IE6 and IE7 and sent the developer an e-mail and received a response a day later. After that he maintained contact with me for a period of two days until my problem was resolved.

Simple to operate module, and some awesome support.

Great module. Gets rid of the usual problem with rotators where rotation is based on page load.

It certainly helps add a bit of dynamics to your page and can even replace a flash file simply by playing with the delay periods for the images.

Neat install and administration.

Only one shortfall I've seen - rotator uses URLs for images; for the unexperienced user it might be a good idea to include a selection list; on the other hand, this means that remote images hosted by external servers/sites may be included too.
