 Add a html source code editor (EditArea) to JCE. Edit html like you mean it. You can use tab, update your preview, and view your source with syntax highlighting. EditArea was developed by Christophe Dolivet. Currently using version 0.6.2. This plugin is great for people that have experience with HTML, but still love JCE for its image/file management and other plugins. Version 1.0.1 includes XHTML auto-completion. Version 1.0.2 is now compatible with JCE 1.0.4

I really like the highlighting and other features, i.e., line numbering, etc... But the fact that you can't toggle soft line wrapping truly hobbles its usefulness when compared with the built-in HTML editor. So if the developer is reading this, please add this simple toggle for those of us who prefer to code by hand. Thanks. |

No word wrap! Long lines of code go off into the sunset making this add-on more difficult to use than the default source editor it could have replaced. For all its features, I'll stick with the default editor. So close yet so far. |

This plugin is nice, the HTML highlighting is always a good idea. But, it can be improved; in example, I found that text with apostrophe/apex inside, like "it's good" is wrogly colored (should remain black). |

I do most of my coding work by hand, even in WYSIWYG editors to tweak things out. The BIG play for this component is when I'm having challenges with my markup, this makes it a breeze to work with! I highly recommended plugin for JCE! |

OMG, this JCE plugin is the shizznit. Although the JCE WYSIWYG editor is awesome I often have to tinker with raw HTML. This plugin makes working with code so much easier, there's no going back for me. The auto-complete option rocks! My only feature request for future versions would be a 'word wrap' toggle. Keep up the great work! Highly recommended for making codemonkey work a bit easier in Joomla. |

This makes editing html so much easier. Syntax is highlighted, lines are numbered, and closing tags are automatically made as you type the opening tag. Thanks for the excellent plugin. I made a couple of suggested improvements and Mark made them the same day! Great plugin and great support! |
