Foul Filter Beta is a Joomla plugin/mambot to filter content based upon superadministrator defined criteria. This plugin allows for masking (hiding) a user defined set of words and replacing them with **** characters once published. This plugin also allows for setting masking for visitors who are not logged on OR for all members regardless of group. The goal of the mambot is to help filter/hide certain "words" from underage users and search engines.

To use this plugin; simply install the mambot normally and then configure it from the mambot admin. The two radio boxes represent guest filtering (on/off) and member filtering(on/off). By selecting either the mambot will filter your comma separated word list for the appropriate selected group (guests/members).

** Important: This plugin does not change/alter your content items, it masks your defined list of obscene/bad words and masks them when they are rendered by Joomla.**

*Once complete SAVE & simply publish the mambot.*

** Please do not skip this step, if you do not apply or save the mambot setting the plugin will not work until you do so; as the record must be inserted into the database. **
