Support and documentation by stigb, June 23, 2008
I am fairly new to Acajoom Plus but have some experience in web development.

I am more than satisfied with the Acajoom Plus newsletter. The extension has - due to a very nice documentation - been fairly easy to install, configure, and use.

Furthermore the support I have received is above avarage and I can only say: Thank you very much for a good product and an excellent support.

Acajoom Plus by pkpandya, June 5, 2008
The acajoom Plus is really good. It works well on Joomla 1.5. Though I am not expert at all on software front, but know little bit to fix things. I think was courageous to shift from Joomla 1.0 to Joomla 1.5. I feared may be not many components for Joomla 1.5 will be available. But I was wrong. I ordered Acajoom Plus. Support is very good. Without any difficulty I could migrate from Acajoom (free) to Acajoom Plus.

Only item I could not found in Acajoom Plus is that I cannot integrate Subject line of Discussion Forum like I can do for Articles. However one can manually insert links to discussion forum in newsletters.

I recommend the Acajoom.

A good start but... by mebuzzme, May 8, 2008
I used this on my site for several months. It may be OK for small sites with few subscribers but it's definitely not ready for the big show.

Reporting is non-existent (not even in the paid version)
- no click thru report
- no forwards report
- no bounces report
- no subscriber tracking

No way to manage bounces - if you are serious about email marketing you have to manage bounces or your on your way to blacklist city.

Stops sending in the middle of a list - even when mailing to small lists it stops in the middle with no way of recovering and re-sending the email to the remaining recipients.

No subscriber management - The only way to really manage your list is to export to a spreadsheat. But even that is riddled with bugs. The values in the confirmed and receive html columns are all set to 1. This is a great feature.

The only wayto remove unconfirmed users is to run a SQL query on you DB - fun!

No way to add additional fields to the user profile like age, interests etc.

If you are serious about email marketing, do yourself a favor and get phpList and learn how to integrate it into Joomla. You will be much better off.

Acajoom Plus by NutriCoach, April 24, 2008
I am very good at controlling type 2 diabetes with diet but a bit of a dufus when it comes to Joomla and Joomla extensions. That doesn't stop me from trying lots of different components. I have a site to help type 2 diabetics learn how to control blood glucose with diet. I needed a good newsletter and auto responder to help people using my site understand the process and keep them abreast of new changes and new information on my site. New members and subscribers now get a series of emails that act as a structured series of lessons on controlling blood glucose.

I have found Acajoom Plus to be an outstanding component. I started with the Acajoom free component and it worked. Par for the course, I did manage to screw it up but with outstanding support from accajoom It was working.

After a short trial with the free acajoom I upgraded to Acajoom plus to be able to send a structured series of emails to new subscribers. I needed a lot of help and the acajoom team came through with outstanding support.

I wanted to be able to use all content on my site including static content and that was added in version 2.0.7. I was notified when this became available by acajoom.

over all I rate this component as excellent even though there are still three issues that I would like to see improved.

The first would be a good easy to install captcha for the subscription module to avoid spam bots. That is on their to do list and is promised for the future.

The unsubscribe link on my site is not functioning and I was told this is because of OpenSEF which I use for SEO purposes. The issue is in excluding it from OpenSEF which is a separate issue. I think it would be good if acajoom would work with SEF components.

The third issue for me was getting the auto responder working strictly from my server. The auto responder requires a cron to activate it. I was unable to get this working on a dedicated server but again that may be because of my lack of skills. Acajoom does maintain crons to activate the auto responder from their site but I would prefer to have this work completely independent on my own server just in case that service goes down for any reason. We have seen other components and services fade into oblivion.

Acajoom Plus - highly recommended by dsrpmedia, February 11, 2008
I `ve recently purchase the Acajoom Plus module, and it was a great investment.

The module does what it says, and the support is outstanding.

The Only component for E-Marketing by emakki, February 7, 2008
If you are serious about doing email sending like e-marketers, this is what you need. It has auto follow-up like sending a lesson everyday and scheduled message like writing new years letter in november and setting it to go first day of the year.

The email sending is in the background meaning the server does it and you can set back and relax. You need to know your server's capacity to make things go well and avoid problems.

Good job guys.

An excellent component by Pankar, February 4, 2008
I am using Acajoom Plus 1.5.7 and I am very pleased.

At the beginning, I had some minor issues of compatibility with other components but accurate and fast support emails helped me to setup my newsletters and autoresponders to work as intended. I consider Acajoom a great choice.

Missing some key features by bosox75m, January 10, 2008
I stopped using Acajoom after my first newsletter and now find a Mail Merge with Outlook more appealing after that experience. I had a bug that the developer couldn't recognize that didn't allow me to get bounced emails sent to me. I need this function.

As a novice to Joomla I found the newsletter archives feature to be clunky in that I couldn't manipulate how the page displayed.

Missing feature to notify you of someone who signed up for the newsletter or removed themself from the list; tracking these stats is also a must have for me since it is critical feedback for if the newsletter is doing its job.

Has lots of good features, but just not good enough for me.

Tried many, settled for Acajoom! by dranyer, January 2, 2008
Good extension, simple set up process. The only issue I have is uploading subscriber names as "confirmed". is there a work around?

This is the best newsletter component I've found by JayW, December 26, 2007
I've tried them all and this is absolutely the best newsletter component I've found.

Their forum is active and alive and is a great resource.

I've been using it for over a year

Acajoom Plus (Very Pleased) by Masala, December 25, 2007
G'Day Mates
This is the one and only extension I have ever purchased and mates this was well worth the money! I needed a Newsletter component that would be able to overcome my servers email restrictions and Acajoom Plus has worked a charm, You Beauty!
I had a small issue in the first days but the support team keenly and efficiently sorted/ or explained to me the problem I was having. The problem was not actually the component but my own error in setting it up. After resetting and following their instructions My website is now sending our Newsletters out at a perfect rate. Great Support and an Excellent component. I would recommend this to any large membership website!
Cheers
Masala

a superb component by lfarkas1, December 15, 2007

I wish all Joomla components were up to the standards of Acajoom. To put it simply, it does what it says, and does it all exceptionally well. I am very satisfied with this component, and the support that you get for it in the Acajoom forum in itself makes it worth a try. I did run into questions upon customizing it. However, through the forum Adrien made it a breeze for me to get my newsletter work exactly the way I wanted it.

Good product with great support! by Tom Hammond, October 26, 2007
Acajoom News and Plus are good products for sending out mass e-mails. News sends out e-mail on demand, while Plus allows e-mails to be scheduled for sending at a later date (via cron). The back-end is easy for composing messages with templates, while the front-end allows users to adjust the mailing list preferences. Well done product! The technical support is excellent and makes Plus absolutely worth paying for.

Great Product, even better support by magdaattila, September 19, 2007

I have purchased Acajoom Plus a few days ago. Since I'm not a programmer (that's why I havechoosen Joomla), I had problems at the begining. But the Support was great, Adrien from France answered all of my questions, helped to set up the Acajoom Plus, and helped to understand the basics. He was fast and perfect.

Now My Autoresponder works properly, and does even more what I expected before. Very good product with excelent service. I will recommend this Acajoom Plus to my customers and friends.

Best Support by Jatinder, August 27, 2007
The team at Acajoom are FANTASTIC!, I was blown away with there level of service.

The componet is fab and just works. There is ample documentation on the products.

I has an issues with the cron task, but this had nothing to do with acajoom. If you get this component, make sure your hosting supports cron task or schedualing inorder to activate the autoresponders.

Acajoom! Thank you very much for this product and most of all your support.
