 OBS: new update including: - users can do bookings - e-mail confirmation for booking - weekly view - FAQ - corrected English language file This component is for booking of rooms, lessons, classes or similar issues. A room could be many other things……. The company/school/institution using this component can have: • Many buildings • Many rooms • Many staff members doing the booking • Many classes Recurring bookings and get an e-mail when doing the booking. All the actions from the staff members are done in the front end after login. Guest and/or Reg.users can browse the bookings but cannot edit/delete. This component can also be used as an add-in for our JoomlaLMS. Admin back end – logged in Administrator Buildings - add, edit, delete name Rooms - add, edit, delete name, assign rooms to building Periods - add, edit, delete name Could be: 8.30-9.15, 9.15-10.00, and so on………. Booking types - add, edit, delete name fx, Education, Meeting………. Importance type - add, edit, delete name fx. High, Middle, Low Class name - add, edit, delete name Language - add, edit, delete language for all text and labels, set default language Language files can be exported and imported Find and edit/delete booking By user, date, user, class, building, room…… If you delete it and it is a recurring type you are asked: Only delete this booking or also any recurring booking? Delete all bookings before: Select date - Delete Front end Staff Members Menu Buildings and rooms My bookings New booking Reports ALL PAGES On ALL pages are shown 3 calendars besides each other showing this and the 2 next months. Today is highlighted. Click on a date and the bookings for this date are shown in a list sorted by building – room name and showing for each booking: Periods Short description Staff member name Class name If you click on a booking you are shown all the info about it. If and ONLY if you are the owner of this booking you can edit, save and delete it. If you delete it and it is a recurring type you are asked: Only delete this booking or also any recurring booking? Return to Buildings and Rooms. Buildings and rooms. Select bookings for: Building: dropdown box with all the buildings Rooms: dropdown box with all rooms from the selected building You can select one or more rooms by holding Ctrl. Key pressed Date: choose date Search: A list sorted by buildings is shown Campus One Room 1 Booking info Booking info Room 2 Booking info Booking info And so on Campus Two Room 1 Room 2 And so on Click on a room name and the bookings for this room for today are shown in the table with periods Now you can click a period. If it is free (no booking) you can add a booking. If it is occupied + it is YOUR booking you can edit/delete it. If you delete it and it is a recurring type you are asked: Only delete this booking or also any recurring booking? If you want another date shown for booking in this room you click a date in the calendars, the bookings for this date for the same room are shown. Now you can click a period. If it is free (no booking) you can add a booking. If it is occupied + it is YOUR booking you can edit/delete it. IF you have selected a date BEFORE TODAY you can of course NOT add a booking. My bookings Select my bookings for: Building: dropdown box with all the buildings Rooms: dropdown box with all rooms from the selected building You can select one or more rooms by holding Ctrl. Key pressed Date: choose date Class name dropdown box with all class names Period(s): dropdown box with all periods from values set up in the back end You can select one or more periods by holding Ctrl. Key pressed Search: The logged in staff member bookings are shown in a list sorted by buildings and can be sorted by clicking on the headers by: • Buildings • Rooms • Date • Class name • Type • Importance type Also the short description is shown for each booking. Click a booking and have all the info shown. You can edit, save and delete it. If you delete it and it is a recurring type you are asked: Only delete this booking or also any recurring booking? Return to My bookings New booking Short Description Long description Date Period(s): select period(s) (values set in the backend by administrator) from dropdown box All day Building: select building (after selection the data in the next dropdown box Rooms are changed to show only Rooms in the selected building) Room: Select room from dropdown box Type: from values set in back end Importance: from values set in back end Class: from values set in back end Recurring type: None Daily Weekly Monthly Yearly Monthly same day For x weeks If x weeks -> put x (fx 5 weeks) If weekly -> select day: Monday, Thursday, Wednesday…… Recurring ending: Date Save booking and get an e-mail showing the booking info in details! If new booking collides with existing booking: ALERT: Your request for this booking collides with an existing booking with this info: Building Room Date Staff member name Short description 1. Please correct your choices – Click here 2. To go to the colliding booking – Click here - 1. You are returned to the info for the new booking you could not save to make some changes. - 2. You are taken to the colliding booking Reports Here you can do a search using a lot of parameters to find bookings. Start date End date Building (select one of many) Room: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Type: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Short description (text) Long description (text) Staff member name: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Importance: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Recurring types: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Class name: dropdown -> select one or more (Hold down Ctrl. Key and click) Sort by Building Room Staff member name Date Period Importance Type Show in report: Short description Staff member name And so on……. All info Click and Show bookings -> list on screen where a click on the headers sort the list.
