I needed to let my content editors upload pictures without hassle or difficulty, and this extension did just that. Perfect for my needs, and works great automatically. The window they added is visually a little ugly, but other than that I have no complaints!

Great for my clients sites by Further, January 23, 2008

This editor makes inserting images into content so much easier for my clients than the mosimage method and the creator has well documented ways to simply remove the images tab to avoid confusion for users using the frontend interface of the website for adding or editing content.
The editor just works well all around and I like how it allows individual users to add folders and upload images right within their content by browsing the files on their computer while not allowing them to delete anything which keeps the sites other resources secure.
This is one of the first things I install on a site and I make it the default editor for my users. I have not encountered any bugs with it and have it in operation on many sites.
The only features not present that I would love are the ability to upload files (such as a text file) and also the ability to delete only from within a users defined folder and only access over that folder. Ok .... yeah I a getting into other advanced features that probably dont belong in a simple editor :)
I have no complaints. Great Job!

Way too limited and simple. There seems to be absolutely no way to specify the font or font size you want to use in an article. If it's there it needs to be better high-lighted and documented.

tinyMCE is a great editor but it lacks a simple way for clients to be able to upload images and adding them to content pages. JoomlaTinyFCK is a great and simple solution for this problem. I love how it integrates into TinyMCE's interface so seamlessly. The end user/client will love this editor!

Could be useful for Flash object by thepisu, October 4, 2007

JCE Editor is surely better that this: great image management, plugin selection and layout, user access level management... The only missing thing in JCE is Flash management (available for some money), that you can find in this editor.
But there is a bug: when I open a content where I inserted a Flash object, it is not recognized, so I have to insert it again...

Excellent editor with all the good features, The only thing lacking was the ability to choose the folder, like if we would have been able to get the images from the default folder only and not create a new one, there was no stopping back.
Overall an excellent editor..

I have used JCE for a while, but decided to try out another editor cause of some bugs in JCE.
I tried this, and wow!! Excellent is all i can say. This is now my standard editor for all sites. Thanks for fantastic work!

User access level by lbarriocanal, August 22, 2007

I like the plugin but i have seen that every registered user can create folders and upload any size images.
I have set permisions only to special users in administrator mambots but i cant restrict acces to non special users.
Some features are needed: access level control and image and file size control.

The Right Editor for My Joomla User by snarayan, August 14, 2007

We set the Administrator User to use standard Joomla TinyMCE and we set the global editor to JoomlaTinyFCK.
So we could manage my user uploaded image easily because all of the uploaded images are located at /images/stories/Image.
We love it! And I think my user too.....

This is an excellent addition to the TinyMCE editor. Just to help people when adding or uploading an image you will need to allow popups from your joomla! site.

It's just too simple by jackbremer, August 6, 2007

I'm trying this out on an existing site, and it's not able to upload to anywhere except the folder: www.domain.com/images/stories/Image
Pretty poor show really - only good if you use this right form the moment you start your Joomla site, or you won't be able to access your old images.
Just too simple, sorry.

Just installed that mambot and it works great.
I just wonder in which directory images are stored ?
Cannot find them through FTP...
It's a perfect lightweight editor when you need to creat a easy to use blog for your community.
I'd just like to simplify much more, to hide styles button, format button, anchor, etc, in prder to look like the real simple editor of blogspot.com
Maybe in next jtf release ?

Yes, installed it and it will works!
This mambot is brilliant and works very well at my website.
If you need image uploader and have trouble with any other editor, just give JTF a chance!
