After i put the next code into my part, the component works perfect.



I had a small problem with my photos, cause the extension was uppercase like .JPG, and the script only works with lowercase like .jpg.

I made a change in the php file and mailed it to the developer, so he can change that in the original file.

Also the support is excellent. Within 24H I got respons.

I'm using the extension in a module as my site banner (arrows off, links off, etc.) to provide a nice fresh look.

Very easy to install. If you're going for speed, be sure to turn off the JavaScript in the module parameters and add the code to your head (see install notes). Also be sure to close those script tags!

Sadly enough Smoothgallery doesn't work in combination with JCE lightbox.
When using smoothgallery on a page where thumbs are shown as a lightbox, the function doesn't work.

i was looking for a simple image slideshow, no frills. i was able to achieve that easily with this easily configurable module. i had one display issue (which turned out to be related to my template, not the module) and the developer responded to my email in minutes.

Had a little problem with module, author replied with solution in just a few mins!!!! Very good support.

Gallery works perfectly however i also had the Ajax Header Rotator installed & that seems to have conflict issues, hence my problem in the beginning.

Apart from that this modules looks beautiful, just what i was looking for.

This module is both serving as a flash-like 'teaser' on our front page, and as a slideshow-style presentation illustrating product functionality on several sub pages.

Extremely user friendly. We were up'n running in a few minutes (simply install and remember to publish the module). A few requests including setting size individually for each instance, and displaying images alphabetically according to filename were immediately added by Derek at perfectdesigning upon request.

To alter the appearance of the module edit /modules/pd_smoothgallery/jd.gallery.css. The style sheet is pretty self explanatory. Notice that you can ad settings like "left: 15px" to "#myGallery" to set a left margin of 15px for all displayed galleries (I'm using joomlaeXplorer (another great module) for small edits in style sheets)

I've pretty well tried every addon out there, from the most complex to the most simple, from the most talked about to the least. Each in many cases finds a home.

Here is a simple addon that gives great results and VALIDATES.

Almost every other addon never validates on first install(in my trys of course) and always found myself trying hack code to make fixes so all jives.

Not so here, and not only that, the support received when I faced a few issues was outstanding. In fact, more then that considering I'm in another part of the world and the response to my issues were promptly and professional beyond all expectations.

This mod may not be for everyone, but I can say this it has a good place and can be used in a very flexible way. Does not support multiple languages, but a good mind always finds a work around.

This module is so simple yet so effective. It allows me to add in my nice folder of images to create my portfolio on my website. I cannot rave enough.. it is brilliant. Thanks alot perfectdesigning.net (derek) for taking the time to release this to the community.
