Allow Public View is a Community Builder plugin that replace CB's generic profile access functionality, and instead allows your users to decide if they wish to allow non-registered (public) users to view their profiles.

For more information, click on "Product Details..." on the Download link below.

For a demo, simply try to access my profile on my site without logging in.

Great Plugin by larryc, February 24, 2008
I'm using Mike's Profile URL plugin with this and both work flawlessly on my 1.0.15 site. Together these two plugins are worth their weight in gold.

I don't often pay for plugin's, but this one was well worth the $15 USD.

Works well by Flipsider, February 14, 2007

I am currently using this one for my Primary Site.

There are 3 Options:

- Redirect to Registration
Redirects to Registration page immediatly
- Javascript (1)
Gives an annoying popup and redirects back to the page you came from
- Javascript (2)
Gives an annoying popup and redirects to Registration
------------------
The first option would be best for me as most people hate popups you have to click once more to continue.

However it doesn't work and Mike wouldn't check my site because hes saying that its my site that causes the problem, however I haven't found any system errors yet. At all..

its a must to give your members controll about their own profile !!! by KurtSteiner, January 15, 2007

However,
I have asked Mike to develop this plug because on my Business Club Website, for private security reasons, as default all Profiles are viewable only by registered users. But some users ask to have the profile public for beeing searcheable by Google etc. and to beeing visited by old and new customers.

I like this plugin much and special in addition with the free Profile URL Plug from Mike which you can download here for free: http://mike.simbunch.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_details&gid=4&Itemid=31
(of course you also use the even great user URL solutions provided by DJ Trail, ysva and/or others just browse http://www.joomlapolis.com for it)

When You take both of it and you provide an additional "Homepage" Tab with an Big Textfield to your users, than they will have fantastic individuell and own made Profile-Homepage on your CB based Domain.

Check it out and see my "HomeProfilPage":

From my point of view, this plug is a "must have" when you want to give your members the controll about their own profile.

Why don't let them decide by their self if its necessary to hide the profile from the world or make it public and find new customers, lovers, friends or whatever they seeking for?

In fact this should be used in every community...

Best regards from Germany
