This is just a specially updated version of the eventCal Upcoming v1.6.4 module. I added in the much needed ability to have Module Class Suffix, but I also added some other features as well including the following:
* Changing the color coding from left to right or off completely.
* The only part of the template that gets linked now is the {title}.
* Changed date formats to use date() instead of strftime(), which allows more flexibility in your date formatting.
* Added {enddate} as well.
* Added CSS Styling in the backend, each event has a div.event_upcoming class for you to style with.

Of course, to install this module you will have to uninstall and delete the original event_upcoming module. And, Just as a note: This module is fairly cut and dry it should be XHTML compliant and all that but I'm not guaranteeing it. Let me know what you think though. I know I really needed the 'suffix' for this great Calendar component so I figured I might as well help everyone else too. Enjoy!

Note: This module will not longer be supported or updated as the EventCal component has sort of died.

Easy installation, helpfull change by jmn, May 27, 2008
Just renamed the old 'mod_eventcal_upcoming.php' and 'mod_eventcal_upcoming.xml' in the directory 'modules' and downloaded these two new ones: worked.
The 'Start date format' in the 'Site module', where it says: %d.%m.%Y has to be changed manualy to d.m.Y though (or to any other format like d-m-Y).
I like this utility, simple and straightforward.

This is a must for eventCal by Razi, April 25, 2007
The ability to show end times and change the text behaviors is great. Now if someone would make the description text longer and put a wysiwyg editor for the description so that we can embed images into the linked description, links to google earth or mapquest to show where the events are.... etc.

Great revision! by webbydeb, January 24, 2007
