I'm a sales manager for a hosting company and we are launching a new JOOMLA! based product line. I was tasked with testing out Joomla! add-on in an effort to determine which ones we'd "endorse" and support based on quality, utility stability. My mission was to seek out the best of the very best. Well after weeks of going through available extensions, some really good, but most just horrible, I'd come to realize why our customers were so frustrated. Poor documentation, compatibility issues, mysql issues, etc, etc
It took my almost two weeks to compose this review because I could not find the words that perfectly describes how magnificent this component is! I was totally blown away by how easy it was for a novice like me to install it, customize it & use it! Simply brilliant! Now a word about the support staff ... well several words. The Azrul Team are setting a new benchmark in World Class Support! Friendly, knowledgeable, responsive ... I could go on for maybe a month or more. I wish I could give them a perfect 10 rating! Their product line is worth 5 times what they are charging, so if your budget permits DO NOT HESITATE TO GO PRO! I for one know that you will NEVER regret it! |

Very nice in terms of both use, look and support
Its easy to use, but using it with multiple users, it would be nice, if tags where userspecifik. As typical for many joomla omponents, the data in "user admin", like tags in this case, arevisible for all users. I belive 5-10 users would be enough to have far to many tags, so if a user had his own tag list, it would be great.
A small thing with adding photos: It would be nice, if it was done directly, instead of having to upload to a folder, and from there, put it in the blog.
Its also a bit annoying that a picture is included for counting characters to put in the introtext. So this have to be disabled for pictures not showing in the introtext, if they are within the numer of characters So these to things concerning photos, makes it unsuitable for "photo-blogging"
Translations are not all done in the langauagefile. I believe about 5-8 words are hiding around the files, but its my understanding, that the developers are working on this.
The support on Azrul are excellent. Whats not on the boards and knowledgebase, the supports can help with, and they are very quick and professional, even on sundays. |

Hi all,
This is a great component - I'm really please with it! It installed easily, is pretty straightforward to get going and you can have an avatar easily associated with a blog post (either register at www.gravatar.com or it also integrates with CB and SMF I think).
I only needed it for a simple blog and it works just great... well worth the money.

One of Joomla's drawbacks is difficulty in blogging easily, particularly if the end-user is not technically oriented and you want them to do everything from the front-end. MyBlog has a Wordpress-like interface that really makes things feel so much simpler. And when it's easier for a client to post something, they'll post more often.
Drawbacks: the styling is a bit complicated, but if you're familiar with HTML/CSS hand coding and you're used to building your own Joomla templates, you will have no trouble customizing the blog look on this. |

I have used Azrul's JomComment for a fair while now, and its one of the first components I install on a new joomla install.
I was looking for a blog component for Joomla, and after checking out the rest, I opted for My Blog.
Its a quality component, integrates nicely with JomComment (worthwhile purchasing that as well, if you don't already have it) and the tags system they have is something that I'd like to see in Joomla as standard.
My only issue with it (and the reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5) is the templates that it comes with as standard need a fair bit of customisation to suit your template, especially if you use a dark template, for lighter templates, its not a problem. It was a bit of a chore editing it, and wouldn't be advised for novice users.
Overall, an excellent component, highly recomended. |

I've only been using the product a couple weeks but it works fantastic. It installed easily and works great. I basically have a family website that I use primarily for a blog and pictures so this product really made it much easier for me to be efficient with my posts. I tried to use Joomla's "blog" page layout but that really wasn't that great. I tried a couple freebies and they weren't much better. I hesitated to spend money on something like this but in the end it was totally worth it and now I dont see how I could continue to write my blog page without it. Kudos to Azrul! Great compo. I also use Jomcomment throughout the site and it is a great product as well. |

Installs smoothly, intuitive to use and easy to costumize in both backend and through the css.
Lots of options and tweaks. All of them relevant for both the enduser and administrator.
I had a small bug with integration of video, but a superb support solved that very quickly and competent. Are Azrul ever offline?? Don't think so :D
When Joomla people develop this kind of product, I have no doubt supporting that by either donation or a symbolic price. Azrul delivers a quality product with the best support ever experienced to a very, very low price.

I purchased myBlog half a year ago, it was very good then but now it really is so much better. Development really is going ahead very quick and support was very good also.
I am still on J1.0.X and it's great they already support J1.5 and I will be able to use it when I make a transition later.
Recommend myBlog + JomComment also. |

I should admit that there are a few glitches but they are not a problem because these guys offer one of the best customer service I've ever seen. Just open a ticket and they get back to you within an hour.
Inserting an image, embedding a video is very easy. You can create tags on the go. What else would you expect from a blog component?
At first you may be disappointed by seeing a few minor problems. But don't forget that it is difficult to have a plug-and-play kind of extensions in Joomla..
I am very satified both with product and with the superb support.

I am using the professional version of MyBlog alongside JRE Caching and Artio JoomSEF. Some interesting problems occurred as a result. I contacted the support guys at Azrul who were great - trustworthy, diligent and professional. Nice blogging tool too. |

This component is great. The installation went easy and after a little time playing around with the configuration, I got it the way I wanted. Adjusting the color scheme to match my site took a little bit of work since you have to change some graphics, but nothing too bad.
To further extend MyBlog, the component JomComment from the same company is a great add-on enhancement. |

I have never seen a software company stand behind their products the way these guys do. I bought both Jomcomment and Myblog pro, and besides being kick-ass components the support behind them is phenomenal. I had two relatively minor issues and they were both cleared up within a couple of hours.
Other commercial developers should take note of how Azrul treats their customers. The old "sorry, we can't duplicate your problem" or "search the forums" responses to tech support issues do not float for people who shell out good money for a product. |
