OpenWiki with Slimbox
Modified version of the great OpenWiki 1.1.0 by Marko Schmuck aka Predator from www.j-prosolution.com extended with the popular Slimbox javascript effect by Christophe Beyl from www.digitalia.be. Slimbox is used for all internal and external media links. You can download it as full component installation or only the update package with files for slimbox integration.

Its not a bad component, not as polished as mediawiki but it still does its job.

The install went well, no errors. The search function however sucks. It does not work at all, cannot use it if one cannot do a search. I checked forums and there is tool to index to update the search function, but does not work without first modifying a lot of the code. At the end it did not work. I sent messages to the contact form in the download site, asking for assistance, but I've heard nothing back from them. Sent another message to the poc on this page, but did not get a response either.

Great potential. Horrible support, documentation, and info about the product.

Downloading requires registering on a slovakian website. It is a Joomla site so if you are familiar Joomla it is pretty easy to work out what to click to get registered. The module is all written in English. Once downloaded it installed easily for me (via the admin panel) and I was up and running in minutes after checking a few config options.

It integrated fairly well into my Joomla, I adjusted some of the styling that came with the default wiki template (such as font sizes of headings)
