This component creates per user private folders, with no rights for browsing but letting the users to access directly the files using a full-URL of the file. Very usefull for your e-mail image signature or for temporary sharing documents over Internet.

02/10/2008 : UPDATE : 2.0 : Yes, we did it ! A great architecture change, user to user file upload, and many more :
* Secure file access with 3 security levels
o Public : same functionality as before version 2.0, the file is accessible to everybody
o Protected : the access is restricted to registered users
o Private : the access is limited to only the user ( + SuperAdministrators)

* Multi-Folder file upload management: the SuperAdministrators have the possibility to upload a file in another user’s private space.
* Access protection to non-public files
* Completely remade the frontend and the backend interfaces
* Quickly change security level for each user and each file.
* Possibility to synchronize the existant files on the server with the database.
* A dedicated « Shared Private Space » forum on Alter Systems Forum at http://www.altersystems.fr/en/forum-7.html

* nothing new, but 2 month of testing and some bugs solved.

* new Spanish language included
* Portuguese not supported any more (contact us if you can/want to translate this)
* new parameters available:
o changed the root folder,
o read-only mode : you may choose to let the users add/delete theirs files (or not:)
o group limited access is now possible,
o "what was the last change ?" info,
o activate/deactivate the email send button,
o quotas management.
* each super-administrator may check users folders from the BackEnd (but not the others super-administrators folders)

UPDATE : We published the 1.2 version on our web site, now supporting :
• 2 new languages : Romanian and Portuguese
• The language system was adapted to the default Joomla one
• Updated troubleshooting on the safe-mode systems
• The help is now accessible in the Component entry menu
