This is an utility component which helps with creating and managing Joomla 1.5 translations (NB: It does not manage content, only the site language)

* Joomla! 1.5.0 RC4

* Manage site, admin and installation files.
* Create Edit Delete languages (XML files and folders).
* Create Edit Delete Publish Unpublish Checkin Checkout language files (INI files). * Create Packaged Joomla! Language Installation Files * Customisable Reference Language (defaults to en-GB) * Shows translation progress of individual language files against the reference language. * Shows translation progress for entire client-language sets against the reference language. * Search all the files in a language set for phrase(s) with customisable CSS highlighting of matches. * Customisable AutoCorrect of text entry (handy for unusual characters/diacritics). * Customisable change of single-quotes to backticks or vice-versa. * Customisable global replace of a key=phrase combination (handy when the same combo is in many language files). * Automatically create missing INI files. * Highlight phrases in an INI file that have yet to be translated. * Highlight and create or delete extra phrases (ones that don't exist in the reference language).

I just started using the Translation Manager & got up-to-date on all my files. Noticed that it prompts for saves regularly; I can add customized strings, mark the file as 'completed' even if some of the strings translate word for word 'RSS=RSS'; etc.
What is the killer feature? All I have to do is install the latest build, and it shows all the new strings marked in red! I hate to admit it, but I was checking for the latest file changes in development/trunk instead of development/releases (oh, the shame).

Has proven indispensable to the completion of our effort to translate Joomla! to Yoruba at http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/yoruba/.
Looking into modifying the plugin to export and import language file entries in XML format which can be easily imported into Machine Aided Human Translation(MAHT)systems for more efficient translation.

Makes discovering the vast array of language files in Joomla! 1.5 possible; Prompts regularly for operation saves so work is not lost; Presents the translatable entries in a way that you can easily transverse and modify language entries.
