Works well, very easy to install & set up. However, would be nice to have the title of the countdown in the module, rather than to change it in the language file. (That all from stopping me rating it much higher

It does take a little nosing around in the files to make the changes. Like other I too had mine way off but that was easy enough to change by setting the off set time. Yeah I had to off set it -13443 hours but it worked!
No complaints here.

A simple extension that works well.
It has a bug causing it to publish a hard-coded title. I modified it to parameterise this and now it works wonderfully.

Great Module! by jpitzen, March 14, 2008

Did all that I could expect with just a bit of tweaking! You just have to know where to look...
Great module, highly recommended.

Doesn't count time properly, documentation is pitiful, the coding must be strange because it takes forever to load (calcluate) and when it does, it's not correct.

A little more documentation would be nice. What does Time format 1-4 means?
Further nice adjustable module. I mailed dutch language file, but is not in de package yet.

Does what its supposed to. Would be nice if it could do recurring countdowns (daily, weekly, etc). Simple and easy to use.

Thought this was good until.... by word warrior, August 31, 2007

I've just unpublished the count module because it is displaying the wrong time remaining. Here we are 31st August and it's saying 13days xx hrs xx mins to 15th September! Doh! I've checked the server offset and it's correct. It was great while I thought it worked :) Shame really it has potential.

Same as everyone, had to edit the text, other than that it does it's work.
If it had a simple box were you can update the name (and store it in DB) it would be perfect.

Well, as I am NOT getting married, I had to locate and modify the language file; but after that, the module does what I need.

This is a good module but the ability to change the text in each instance would be nice.
I was able to hack the module to change the title to what I needed but if I need a 2nd countdown module I wouldn't be able to have seperate titles.
Also the countdown uses the end users sytem time, so if you are counting down to an event and the users sytem clock is out, the countdown wont be correct. Owner's reply: One of the main features of the module that it is synchronized at start to the server's time, so it is not relies on the end-user time. (But if user changes time at the running of the module it will be desynchronized until next refresh).

Nice Simple Count-down by jbarron, May 21, 2007

At first I had problems editing because of permissions. Access from Plesk and FTP didn't work. But I found I could use Joomla Xplorer to change the permissions. Also I could make the needed edits from the built in editor in Joomla Xplorer, very easy.

This is a very nice Module. Very suitable for my need! Too bad you can't change the "title". Require a little hacking to the module to change it. However overall, I am very happy with this module! Thank you!
