Allows administrators to Approve / View / Add / Delete user pictures from the backend. The script will automatically pull the image and thumbnail sizes from the Community Builder configuration and resize the uploaded pictures as necessary.
Installed as a Joomla Component!
Requirements:
Community Builder Component
New Features:
File Type Support - Now supports Jpeg, PNG, and GIF file types
Default View - Can show All users, Approved Users, or Need Approval Users as the default view.
Features:
Approve Pictures - Shows you the uploaded picture with an option to approve or delete.
View - Opens a popup window with the image that is on the website.
Add - Add a new picture or overwrite the old picture.
Delete - Delete the current picture.
Display - Shows Full Name and Username with navigation links at the bottom.
Search - Search by Full Name, Username, and waiting approval.
Configuration - New menu link to be able to change the table prefix and the number of people displayed per page.
Fixes:
Found and removed bug that if there is avatar link in tables, but not file, script throws error on table.
Found and removed bug for nonstandard table prefixes still looking for "jos_users" table.
Found and removed dependance on global variables, so there is no longer a need to have RG_EMULATION set to "ON".
Found and fixed display bug for navigation links.
Thanks for the ideas, I have already incorperated many of the ideas people have emailed me, and I would like to hear some more!
Enjoy!

Right out of the box into production. I really like this plug in.
One thing I have noticed is that the newly uploaded images show up in the user profile before I approve them. So what is the point of the approval process. Am I missing some configuration?

The only word that I can use is Wonderful!
Thank John so much for creating this. This is what I have been looking for. It will automatically resize the images that your CB users upload to their profiles and other functions. I think this is must-have component for any CB website.
Once again, thank so much for this.

Easy to install.
Works well right "out-of-the-box"
Highly recommended.
Only issue we see is that documentation (to use the functions is a little poor). For example, we have been looking for the photo moderation section (so we can approve an uploaded profile photo) for 58 minutes so far - We still have not found it. (Moderation email should include instructions).
A well thought out add-on however. A super new feature could be profile videos (not just pictures).
Again, well recommended!

Good job John. This should be implemented as a staple of CB.
You are an asset to the community. Thank you for this great contribution.

Makes you wonder what the CB team is thinking!
Great extension, thanks!
Simple feature request, why make the image pop-up, instead of displaying it right next to the name/username in the list? This would make the review much more easier. If you need a closer look can load the bigger profile image as a pop-up?
Thanks again!

This is just what a lot of us have been looking for.
Approval via the front end has its uses, sure, but it is absolutely essential to have it from the back end too, centralized management. A sorely missed function in out-of-the-box CB.
Thanks very much super, works as advertised.

For anyone that has a multi-user environment, this component is a HUGE time saver! It will definitely be installed on all my Joomla/CB installations.
The developer is very helpful and willing to answer any questions that may arise. If you have any suggestions, he's willing to listen.
I can't wait to see what the future holds for the this component!

This is a very welcome add-on! Needed this for a long time. Although a bit different from other Admin-addons in terms of userinterface, it realy does the job! Thanks.

The guys at joomlapolis.com are doing a superb job with CB, no one dares to doubt, but missing or overlooking a backend feature like this is almost gross. Most people who admin community driven sites are in fact site owners who perform all operations from the backend.
Congratulations to the developer who came up with this essential tool. I can finally approve and manage user avatars without having to login as superdamin from the frontend.
A huge A+.

I was amazed to see this functionality wasn't standard. Thanks a lot! It works fine (although it isn't a typical Joomla interface)

| Doesn't work on mos_ prefix by Coach, March 19, 2007 |

1 of 1 people find this review helpful:
I am running Joomla 1.0.12 and the database is up to date. However, the database prefix uses an old _mos prefix. This was listed in the global configuration file, but cb_pictureadmin crashed. It could not find the table jos_users....
Please make it listen to the global configuration item (MySQL Database Prefix). I haven't had the chance to test it, so the review is avarage... Owner's reply: Someone found that bug a few days ago, and I looked into it. When I made the configuration page, I missed one of my hard coded sql query's. It is now fixed, so if you download the new version it should work.
Thanks for the catch,

This is the best type of component. It does exactly what it says it will with little fuss or trouble. This is a very necessary component for most CB sites, and something I was really looking for, so this is most welcome. Thank you!!
