I use this great module for 3 month now on 2 web site and it works great.
2 things about it :
- you can configure a little more this component (more than options in the module configuration) by modifying some lines in the /modules/luckyphoto/LuckyPhoto.js (you can change the "Close" text, and its color, size ...)
Find these lines in the middle of the JS file :
this.close.style.color = '#EE2222'; //Red
this.close.innerHTML = '> Fermer/Close [X]

This extension modifies the browse_1.php file in Virtuemart, which is the default PHP file for displaying one product per row. Unfortunately it doesn't add the necessary JavaScript to the browse_2.php to browse_5.php files. This means that if you choose to display more than one product per row with the correct "browse" PHP file, the effect will not work on the browse products pages, only the product details pages.
I don't have the necessary skills to modify them myself, but if anybody could create modified versions of these browse PHP files and supply a link for download (not necessarily free) I would be eternally grateful.
Having said that, I still give the extension top marks because it is free, easy to install, configurable and never fails to impress when I show people the effect. If the "browse" PHP files issue is addressed and "close" text is applied to the large image this would be worth paying good money for (and I would).

I had to remove this module from my sites because I noticed some extremely slow loading time. Sometimes the server would even timeout. No CLOSE button.

A job well done making this plugin...it does exactly what you need it to do, and nothing more. No crazy library conflicts either.
A bit of professional criticism - I kind of agree that a "close" button would be nice. Also, it would be cool to have that sexy lightbox "slide" effect you get when running lightbox as a standalone. This is not even a complaint BTW, just a suggestion for improvement.

This module is a great way to add a level of professionality to a site. I added it to a high-fashion designer's catalog and it lent itself to the level of high-end design. Set up is quick and the results make the client all warm and fuzzy about their website's appearance. Thanks programmers! Great job!

| Very very nice tool. by chanetsa, August 11, 2007 |

This tool makes a Virtuemart online shop look so much more professional.
Downloaded, installed, turned on and tested and it worked all in about 5 minutes! Then I configured the images and background to suit my site. Easy!
Often the best things are simple. This tool is so simple to install and use and the effect is brilliant.
I will be using this tool on every Virtuemart site I create in future! Nice work, well done!

Very good image replacement, but could use a "close" button on the image for users to close the view. I went for the back button several times before I realised that you just click on the photo for it to close. Otherwise, brillantly done sir...

After installed LuckyPhoto, with parameter in "Mode 1", with
my template the thumbnails had disappeared in the IE and are impossible to click on. In the Firefox it work perfect.
In the "Mode 2" it comes back to function as before without the LuckyPhoto.
