Even on Memorial Day I got GREAT support for this product. Within about 10 minutes of my first email question, I got accurate response. It took about 4 exchanges and I was good to go. Love the product, well worth the $49. My time is important and this product saved SOO much of it. |

I wrote to the author to get a few questions answered and he replied within an hour. I find that incredible. He was also straight with me about the use of the component.
You need to know how to use datafeeds to use this, it is not a simple solution. The feeds need to be cleaned and formated before they can be manually imported.
You need to join each affiliate network such as SAS CJ or LS that you want to use. Then within each network you need to be approved by each individual merchant that has products you want to sell.
CJ and LS charge a setup fee to create an FTP account for you to get your feeds. I know LS is $250.
That said, I have the skills, so I'm going to try it out. |

I liked this product, it solved a big problem we had on our website, however I found the support terrible, and the documentation is not very complete, there are files on virtuemart that need to be replaced, and I had to figure it out myself. Owner's reply: All of our support requests are answered the same day. All required files are in the package, none need to be replaced. Please contact us if you are having any problems with the extension. |

Just like it says, worked out of the box. Easy to follow instructions, was populating products in minutes. I purchased the original version that only did Virtuemart. The developer emailed me the update that now populates into Joomla content.
It just works. Does what it says. I can edit my product descriptions in both content and VM. This had been a long time coming, people have asked for it and now we finally have it.
The new website has easy to use walkthrough tutorials that make using this a snap. |

JROX Affiliate Manager (JAM) is for running your own affiliate program. That is, if you sell a product, you can use JAM to manage all the affiliates that are helping you sell that product.
Affiliate Component on the other hand helps members of Comission Junction affiliate programs, and it is awesome! For example, if you have a site that specifically talks about AMD computers, you could sign up for the Staples affilliate program at CJ, then use Joomla! Affiliate Component to display links to all of the AMD computers and products offered by Staples.
JROX is great, but is a very different product than the Affiliate Component. |
