Joomap is a sitemap component for Joomla that shows the normal Menu Structure, Content Categories, Sections and Virtuemart Categories in a hierarchical list. A plugin system and translation support make it easy to expand the range of supported content and localization! The new version also supports the generation of a Google Sitemaps conformant XML list.
Editor's Note: - This extension by default includes hidden links/advertising. Hidden links/advertising can affect the Search Engine ranking.

the component looks fairly simple to install and use ... HOWEVER, when i submit the link (cut and paste), i end up getting an error ...
i'm adding 'general sitemap' ... the link to copy is
'index.php?option=com_joomap&view=google' .. but when google checks, it comes back as 'error' unsupported format or something like that ...
PLEASE HELP ...

| Great product but with limitations by nikolas, August 15, 2007 |

This product is just What i was looking. Perfect works if you use correctly the only problem is that in a site with more than 50,000 has problem... google sitemap prefer sitemaps up to 50,000 links , if more sitemaps should be splitted in two parts

Installed great, but Google would not accept the sitemap. Switched to the "patched" version 2.06pre and that works.

| Joomap and Artio JoomSEF by roma64, July 18, 2007 |
|
I like to get Joomap to work but I just couldn't when I enabled Artio JoomSEF for I get 404 Not found. I checked Documention and forum and found no answer. I would still love to use a Sitemap module for my site but it has to work first. I am not saying anything negative about Joomap but about support or more information on the site's forum.

| Works well with SEF Advance except symbol & (ampersand) by zoro, June 21, 2007 |
|
Joomap works well with SEF Advance for me, except for symbol & (ampersand) where it gives the error: "XML Parsing Error: not well-formed" when I tried to generate XML Sitemap for Google. It should automatically replace & to & on XML creation (according to Sakic, the SEF Advance developer).
Without that drawback with SEF Advance, it is excellent.

| Missing articles by mymykry, June 20, 2007 |
|
I used this for two different Joomla driven sites. First was fine, but for the second one, Joomap did not include all articles and I couldn't find out why. As the latest news were missing, Joomap is inacceptable for this site. I had better results with SEF Service Maps.

| Added this to all of my sites! by oMama, May 17, 2007 |

This is a fabulous tool, and makes a beauty of a site map. Thanks! I thought initially that there was a problem with new content appearing on the map, but it seems just to need a bit of time to catch up to the new stuff in the database. All of the new content shows up, and I love it! :) This has been implemented to each of my customer sites. Thank you for the wonderful map! :)

| Joomap and memory limit by member1000, April 11, 2007 |
|
First of all ... very satisfied with the component.
BUT the installation brought troubles. I installed the
component, put it into my site structure, all worked fine.
THEN I proceeded to install another component ... AND there
was no installation template for components anymore. Finally I got a hint from a nice soul just to increase the memory_limit in php env. to 32Mb ... and it definitely helped.
