 Joomap is a sitemap component for Joomla that shows the normal Menu Structure, Content Categories, Sections and Virtuemart Categories in a hierarchical list. A plugin system and translation support make it easy to expand the range of supported content and localization! The new version also supports the generation of a Google Sitemaps conformant XML list.

from 150th to 1st in google - thanks to this tool! FANTASTIC.
I am tempted however to just use the OpenSEF sitemap tools, but will try both on different sites and see hwo i go! Thank you.
Absolute breeze to setup, and it gives you the address of the google sitemap ready to submit!
The columns settings refer to IE only, and it shows several columns - one for each menu. Doesn't seem to work in FireFox though. |

I am very surprise with this component. The installation and setup is very simple.
The display also using the site template default, and blend very nice into the site.
Plus the link provided to Google Sitemap will keep Google updated with current sitemap since it is a dynamic page.

this component is great, it does what it's supposed to! had it up and running in 2 minutes, you don't need any knowledge anyone can use it. i've struggled with sitemaps in the past and i know, if it's a simple and effective sitemap you're after this is the one! plus it looks great in any template!
might not have any advanced options like other sitemap components but even so it's so much better!

I'm pretty disappointed in the product. It doesn't do SEF 100%, which defeats the purpose of using SEF at all. Also, it doesn't sort content into section/categories.
I'll keep looking for a sitemap component that is more mature and better supports SEF. |

This is an awesome component, very easy to use and a big plus is that is very customizable.
If you are having problem submitting the sitemap to google, mind the "www" in front of the url, took me 30 minutes to figure that out.
I highly reccomend this component. |

I had installed this component on my website and it works very well. Setting up is very easy and then it will tell Google what is on your site when a google bot comes.

This is best sitemap for Joomla! I use this in my site with some layout mofications. Default did not look good on my site and I did some chages to its XHTML layout. This great component and sitemap looks great with my onw modifications. |

I use this extension all of the time to edit pages and make changes on my site. It is one of the very best extesions available. If you don't use it yet, so what you are doing, download and install this extension before you do anything else. Life will be much easier. |

Google doesn't like malformed dates in the section, so I altered the file "components/com_joomap/joomap.google.php" in the following way:
