 1.0.10 has just been released, including Many minor (and a few major) bug fixes... If you are using Joomla 1.0.14 or newer, you MUST upgrade to 1.0.10 for the login and other forms to work...
Well, this component WILL lower page load times for guest users. It will not effect page load times for logged in users in any way. Expect to see a VAST performance gain in busy sites (I have a site running with it that averaged 5 times as many hits before taking the server down).
For the BEST performance, I recommend php5.

Does exactly as it says on the tin. Unfortunately due to shared hosting I was unable to get the full performance gains from this component, however, filesystem caching still shaved off a few seconds on load time and installation was simple. Highly recommended for those on shared hosting plans or those tweakers out there. |

I actually had to download the component 2 times, fyi use Firefox for dl.
The component installed very easily and the speed increase was huge. Anyone working with graphic intensive pages should find this invaluable.

This extension will speed up your site by an enormous amount.
I give it four stars instead of five only because I could never get the JomComment plugin to work, so the cache wasn't reset when someone posted a comment. I had to deinstall PageCache on that site because of this.
On some other sites with less visitor interaction, I have it running very smoothly and it makes these sites a lot speedier. Plays nice with OpenSEF too. |

This thing speeds up your site alot (Wish there was a table that showed the total savings instead of just the page savings). The developer responds to any questions/problems you have on his site almost instantly. Great component. |

I tested it on my test site (1.1.12, openSEF, JoomlaBoard, etc.) and so far it does work as advertised. My Joomlaboard didnt cause any problems (exempted) and openSEF seems very happy.
Excellent work.
If you use on your production site I suggest you register. Caching is a much more demanding project than other bots/components. |

Major speed increase. really boosts performance for Joomla. I started using it at v1.04 and was using 1&1 as a host at the time. It made my site load much much quicker. I had a couple issues that were resolved within a a couple days and a new release. The author is very responsive and works hard to find a fix for your issues. I currenly switched hosts and am now with WestHost. My site speed is at least 15 times fast now. My joomla site is pretty bloated and has lots of modules, components and mambots running. 200k+ frontpage. 3 modules that rotate whenever the page refreshes. My load times are 1.5-3 seconds on average and as low as .9 seconds! I used the Faster Fox timer for my times. Page cache currently doesn't work with rotating banners but will refresh them after the cache TTL runs out. my site is http://www.AbundanceTips.com . I currenly have page cache uninstalled due to testing with eaccelerator. My site is blazing fast with eaccelerator on the server. With the two running together is about the same but page cache should provide additional server overload protection from being slashdotted or the Digg affect! |

It does what it says, and exceedingly well. Only glitch I ran into was that it (not surprisingly) has the same problem with Fireboard as Joomlaboard -- forum page constantly reloads. Easily solved by manually adding Fireboard to the exclude list (Joomlaboard is already there by default). This rocks. |

I have tested the component (version 1.0.5) because I needed a good caching facility for virtuemart.net. I could install and configure it easily. The modifications done to the Joomla! core files must be corrected if you're using Joomlaboard or Simple Machines Forum (SMF). I have chosen "File Storage" as caching mechanism, so the database load is reduced.
My page performance has been boosted up to 1/20th of the time the server needed before to generate and deliver the page, so I can absolutely recommend this component to everyone who just needs a caching solution that works. |

There was only one thing which was annoying me:
The license reminder at the top of my page. Ok, you can remove it by paying a small fee... Owner's reply: Since the component is GNU/GPL, you can also remove it youself! |
