RokSlideshow enables you to display a series of images and captions, and transition between them in a configurable manner. This version is all new and utilizes a mootools 1.0 based slide-show that is capable of advanced effects such as "Ken Burns Effects", "Fades", "Wipes", "Pushes". Also the module has the ability to choose from 30 transition types include bounce, elastic, exponential, etc. All configurable via the module parameters. Completely rewritten for 3.0 it now support hyperlinks, transitions on the first image, more configuration options, and also native Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 versions.

Installed 3.03 on Joomla 1.5 with no problems. Had a minor issue with paths when launching the module from an article, but I found the workaround on the Rocketwerx forum.
This module is just what I was looking for and I am very happy to have found it. |

I can't give this mod a higher rating only because it's missing one major feature which is image "link-ability". I have searched for a mod like this and when I finally find it, the feature that's most needed is not there. Hope you folks add image linking in the next update. Owner's reply: it's had image linking built in for a few versions now. If you are having problems with linking, please post on the forum at rocketwerx.com and we'll see what's up. cheers. |

Excellent work on this slideshow. Installed clean as a whistle and was a breeze to figure out the captions and transitions. I am happy to report that as of April 10, 08 this module plays nicely with IE7. I have it on a 1.0.15 site and it performs marvelously. Thank you for a first-rate module. |

Although the icon says 1.0 native, there is also a 1.5 version, which makes me very happy :). The description above says: "Completely rewritten for 3.0 it now support hyperlinks", but I can't find a way to create links. It would be great if this would be possible. Maybe I'm missing something? |

Avoid this program until the author can stop it from crashing Internet Explorer. This program gives the "operation aborted" error in internet explorer 7.0 and 8.0 beta 1. I know Rok slideshow did it because when I removed it the error went away. Internet explorer 8.0 beta 1 gives a descripton of the error, but still crashes

This component is - frankly - stunning and does what it says on the tin.
However, I have installed this v3.02) on two Joomla! 1.013 sites and loaded up some text & pictures. I could not understand why my pc was slowing down until I opened the Windows (XP) task manager.
The memory used by the Firefox instance, that was displaying the page, was steadily growing with each image transition - in front of my eyes. I re-tried this with Internet Explorer and Seamonkey with identical results.
Had I not made the site my homepage - I guess I would not have spotted it.
As the support seems stalled & confused - I will have a crack at debuging the Javascript. |

I am about a week new to Joomla.I have downloaded and used several extensions in building my site with 1.5RC4. I been holding off on putting in slideshow on my homepage because learning curve has been intense, and most entensions seem to don't work the first time.
I had RokSlideshow downloaded, installed and displaying panoramic views of the city in what seemed like about 5 minutes. This is the first extension I used that worked the first time out of the chute! It is simple, intuitive, and powerful. The "Ken Burns Effects" are awesome! |

I had major issues with the previous release, it is not that compatible with IE. The problem was solved with the current version, but the graphic quality a bit deteriorated in IE.
However, it still work wonders, especially the magnificent Ken Burns Effect! Bravo and thank you so much for this wonderful module!! |

This module couldn't be any easier to use. The features make any use of this module a real pleasure. It just works, and well!
My only request would be the ability to include two (multiples) within a page, which seems to really break this module.
Otherwise, a great tool! |
