You are looking for a component that can manage all your site's banners, you are on the right place.
With BannersManager:
- you can choose how many impressions or how many clicks for a specific banners you want.
- you can choose when banners have to be displayed:
- You can limit the display of a banner on specific categories of a component.
- You can limit the display of a banner on specific menu item.

With an extension system, you will be able to make it works with alphacontent,adsmanager,bookmarks,mosTree,etc...

Good extension by Yaheed, May 5, 2008
This is a good extension if your web site requires more than one banner to show on different sections.

The only problem I have come across is when selecting a Restriction or Content item. If you select more than one menu / content item, save, and then re-enter, it will on save on the last one you clicked. So as long as every time you edit the banner you reclick all of the pages you want it to show on, then you should be fine.

In the meantime, fix this guys!

Works good by itchibahn, April 15, 2008
Works great! At first I couldn't get it to work, it was a simple mistake. Read the posts here, all the answers to make it work is already posted.

Thanks to the reviewers who said to use Group ID by greenericka, January 25, 2008
This product works great if you know to put the group ID number into the module.

Thanks to the other reviewers!

Work's Flawless by denden, December 11, 2007
The install and import of banners was flawless. Other than missing a couple key features such as alt text handling or target control, this thing works right out of the box and is GREAT for anyone who needs multiple types of banners on their pages. Quite easy to use.

Can be a good component by holdencreative, September 17, 2007
Documentation for BannersManager isn't great, so it can be quite tricky to use. Also, some of your display options are limited, so you may need to use the odd CSS / Joomla hack to get things how you like.

All that said, the component accomplishes it's purpose well, especially if you are swapping banners (or their positions).

Try it out, just keep in mind that you may need to make some modifications.

Your Solution works by jjmack, September 10, 2007
Thank you ndemick for your tip. My banners are showing up now. This is a great module for banners, but should be better documented.

Almost Perfect! by dunkgreen, August 27, 2007
It is a great product but lacks documentation to make set-up easy, otherwise, I would have given it a five.

I would like to see future versions display banners at different times and dates.

The BEST Banner Ad component by yellaled, August 21, 2007
I've tried every ad plugin for Joomla and this is by far the easiest and most well done, with all the features I needed.
The only part that confused me for a sec was that you have to choose the restriction, there's no default, but it makes sense.
The best features are the ability to choose ordering or random, and the ability upload an image, rather than having to upload in the Media Manager and pick the image. This makes it much easier for my clients.
Thanks for this one.

Thus I want thus far by agooley, August 9, 2007
I had been looking for a banner component that will randomly display the banner order on the page so that I could fairly have my advertisers banner displayed on the pages. Thus far, this one does the trick. Now I'll have to figure out how to space them. And thanks to the reviewers who gave insight on how to set it up. It helped me tremendously!

note on image showing issue by sbuelter, July 16, 2007

pProbably the wrong place to discuss how to allow the image to show, but it does work well but perhaps is not too intuitive. You need to
1) Create client
2) Create group
3) Type group number in module
4) Publish module
5) Create banner
6) Creating banner asks for URL…don’t put a URL, click browse, find the file on your machine and click save. This will upload and rename the add file into the images/banners/ directory
7) Make sure you click something, such as ALL on the restrictions tab and click save again.
Should work fine

Thanks!

AWESOME! by sprout5533, June 28, 2007
I tried FlexAdvert for awhile and liked it, but when I went looking for something more I found this. I am very pleased with the ease of use and features. I wanted random banners running down the side of my page and this component does it! I can have multiple ads in one module! Great job with this one! Much better than flexAdvert.

Only a few things missing by headchief, June 17, 2007
The component is great (check my rating). However what I would like to see if future releases is:

Recurring:
Yes: (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, Custom)
No

Duration of display:
Start Date:
End Date

Apart of that the component is great and I highly recommend it to anyone who does advertising on their site.

2 thumbs up!!!

My solution by ndemick, June 7, 2007
3 of 3 people find this review helpful:
I noticed that a lot of people were having problems getting their banners to display. In my case, I didn't have the "Banners Group" option set correctly when editing the module. It needs to be the numeric ID of the "group" you have your banners set up under. Not very intuitive... I had been putting the NAME in there, as opposed to the ID. Hope this helps someone else...

No images by JohanJ, June 3, 2007
Same problem as Pixelgeek.
Tried all the "solutions" given by the earlier posters but it still doesn't work.
Module title is shown but no banners. I imported the existing banners and added another one, activated all the plugins, added something in Banner group and so on, but no banners are shown.

Good but again, needs documentation by killnine, May 29, 2007
This is a solid-performing banner plugin. I use it for my LAN party to post sponsorship links. Its simple, it works. However, documentation is severely lacking and the forums are hosted on what appears to be PII 133Mhz server...

To get banners working you must do the following

1) Install the com and mod *.zip files
2) make sure they are enabled.
3) create a client and then banners associated with that client
4) in the properties of the banners, under the "restrictions" tabs, you must select which pages the banners are to be displayed.
5) go into your "site modules" page and go into the properties for the BannersManager module. Make sure you have something in "banner group".

Now your pictures should display fine. Was that all that difficult to type JoomProd? Geeze....
