SEO/SEF vs AJAX SITE? by Omnium_Gatherum, April 30, 2007
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:
- Disable any SEF ( Search Engine Friendly ) or any SEO Components or Plugin that may exist in your joomla ( You can Disable SEO in Joomla Global Configuration area )

:/ So, it's choice between SEO/SEF and AJAX. I'm staying with SEF. Sorry.

Is it possible that in newer version of Joomlajax this "issue" will be solved? If yes, do You know how long we must wait? :>

Thanks

no good for my template and menu system by spacevortex, April 24, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
Having purchased another ajax component that just seems to be lacking in updates and support, I believed that this would be my saviour. But it appears not.

While the other one gives me a good 50% of my site in ajax, with all the bugs, this just doesn’t work for me, until I turn my template to the default joomla.

So for me and my template this is not good, but then its free.

Owner's reply:
This is the first version and i will make it better in the new versions, Keep checking new updates and you can state your template problem in http://forum.web2coder.com . Thanks

Thank you all for reviews by hmrtk, April 23, 2007

I wanted to thank everyone and appreciate your wonderful ideas. This is the first version and i will try my best to do better works of mine and fix any bugs that exist in this mambot. I am going to develop this work by making a better control panel for this mambot in admin section and you will have a better control over its functionalities in the new version. By the way i had not that much donation for this work (maybe its not that useful) but in the next version i will probably remove the link back part in footer and also i will offer a full documentation for free in the case that you want to develop it your own way. This is my first Extension that i created so far so do not expect this to be that good, since i had so many emails about ajaxifying joomla i came to this idea for making this mambot so that no one would have this problem for ajaxifying joomla. Thanks again and please check my website for new updates and new versions of Joomlajax

Still in nascent stages.. by viznu9, April 23, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
Thankyou for your efforts.

My 2cents ->
Doesnt work well with
-SEO
-Java
-Mootools
-jQuery

The above mentioned are tools used in almost every new template (RT,JA,JJ,Yoo) and many favourite extensions.. (JW-SIG)

The 'back' button still does not work at all :(

I sincerely do hope that future versions will take these into considerations.
The future is bright, the future is ajax!

Owner's reply:
This work is also compatible with all other toolkits but i need to develop it so that you would have a list of different options for different Toolkits to choose for ajaxifying your joomla. Thanks for review

Looking Good by Creatorffm, April 22, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
I installed this without a hitch. A very big increase in speed using IE 6 and 7. With Firefox and Opera not much differance but they are fast anyway. I am using a heavely moded Joomla (1.0.12) with SMF and Jommlahacks SMF bridge, Community Builder 1.02 and Groupjive. Also installed are Jomcomment, Syret Video, Mamblog, SimpleFAQ, Bookmarks, Remository, Easybook, PU Arcade, Facile Forms, User Home Pages 2, Plaxo Invite and AKoJoom. Everything works with no hitches. Nice Job!

Thank you

Its halfway there by Dawgpdr07, April 22, 2007

This extension works well for what it is intended to, however it is far from complete seeing as the admin backend becomes unaccessable (in my experience) and to regain access the files must be deleted from the server via ftp. I would be happy to see an updated version with these bugs fixed because like I said, it does what it says. AJAX is awesome but the side effects of using this extension render your site unusable to admin.

Might be an option for SOME, but... by kaizen, April 21, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
unfortunately to make it work according to the instructions, I'd have to eliminate most of the rest of my site...

In the install instructions:

- Disable any SEF ( Search Engine Friendly ) or any SEO Components or Plugin that may exist in your joomla ( You can Disable SEO in Joomla Global Configuration area )

- Do not use templates that use JS toolkit/Libraries. it makes joomlajax not work in some cases

- We advice you to Disable component/mambots that includes any JavaScript Toolkit like jQuery, Mootools & ... ( However if you want to use them. Check if it works correctly with Joomlajax )

If you had a simple site without these items and didn't need SEF, then it IS a very cool effect, but I think this has a limited audience.

Almost perfect by lenamtl, April 21, 2007
2 of 3 people find this review helpful:
This mambot is almost perfect.

Except the name an 2 links will appear on all pages of the entire website...(this is encrypted in the code).

This can cause confusion, visitors can this company is the owner or the webmaster of the website.

I don't mind to pay to have this information removed.

Owner's reply:
Thanks for your review. Thats why i made it Donation ware read web2coder.com/joomlajax . but anyway i will make it free in the new version for removing the link in footer and having a well documented source code.

Just what I was looking for.... by gibson71, April 21, 2007
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:
But the only thing i found to be a bit of a pain is, in my menus i have sub-menus or sub-catagories and the sub-catagories will not open on my page just the index2.php is reloaded. I found that if i disable the Joomlajax from the Disable/Enable button, then click a Main menu ... the whole page will now reload and open the sub-catagories (not what i really need because it will reload the chat on the page and people are logging in and out of the chat "annoying")but this is very helpful that i can browse all sub-catagories in the main menu.

My Question is, is there a way to have the side menus open sub menus with out reloading the whole page???

Thanks in advanced for any help.

Back - Forward Problem by bmac, April 21, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:
This extension is fair. no more than that because you can't use the back buttons. I juggest that the programmer includes a javascript that takes care of the history in the different browser and ads #params to the url. This way you can use the back and forward buttons and even bookmar a certain page.

Owner's reply:
Thank you i will make it in the new version
