The Shapechanger Module
This module allows you to display certain modules in IE and then different modules in other browsers.

Many modules, sadly often the best and most interactive ones, simply don't work in IE when more than one of them is published on the same page.

It usually results in a page error or a skewed layout.

Now you can give users that don't have IE a full experience of what the net has to offer, while preventing incompatability with IE. The best of both worlds! Features AND IE compatibility, something previously unavailable.

Please Note that this module is no longer donationware. It only requires registration to download.

great idea! by QuinnTheAdmin, May 3, 2007
I have to appreciate this module for it's simplicity and ease of use. Well worth the donation and more... If you have a module that works great in FF and other browsers but just blows chunks in M$ IE this is the best fix yet. If you use ifrounded corner modules you know what I mean.

Great idea but... by kaizen, May 2, 2007
I might have rated it higher, but I really wish people wouldn't put their personal biases into code...the goals of a programmer shouldn't be 'dumbing it down for IE' but to strive to make things that are compatible for both environments as to ignore the fact that these two browsers remain neck and neck is to ignore reality. Not to mention that I would NEVER tell any user or client what browser they SHOULD be using, any more than I would tell someone what car they SHOULD be driving or who they SHOULD vote for.

Owner's reply:
The personal Bias is in the reason for making the module. Not the code. Just as you should rate the code not my personal bias. :)

IE, even 7, has a lot of problems which FF and other browsers don't. To say otherwise is to ignore reality.

Look at the support forums of any template club, or module/component website and you will find 100 or more threads with xxx doesn't work in IE for every one you find for FF. That is why it is 'dumbing it down' for IE.
