JAddresses is a Joomla component for managing a directory of addresses similar to yellow pages. It can be used to list addresses of companies, official organizations, and others.

Not good for use in US by rhantson, February 22, 2008
There is a huge lack of configuring the final output of the data on the front end. The business address is malformed and only formatted for the country in which this componant probably originated. Everything is hard coded when it comes to output making it extremely difficult to reconfigure the display and allow the end user to allow proper output for use in the US.

It has a lot going for it, and if there can be an easy way to configure the final output - it will be a great tool - however, til then, this is not worth the time spent trying to get it to work right. I've spent two hours trying to get it to work the way we need it and have finally given up and tossed it in the recycle bin.

good but not good enough by baijianpeng, June 2, 2006
This Jaddresses component is better than the built-in contact component of Joomla 1.0.8. But after tried for a few times, I found this one should be improved further.

The Admin should have the option to limit the length of post code since it varies from country to country.

Another important thing is, address format in China is always begin with the country and end with the room number. So if you want to attract over 100,000,000 internet users in China, you should consider to modify the code and allow the Admin to adjust the output order of those entries of the address.

useful, but... by tschersich, June 1, 2006
This component is very useful for managing addresses, but in 1.1, sort ordering does not work at all.
