ActiveSWFbot
This new mambot allows you to added flash to your content without that annoying "Click to Activate" prompt. You assign each swf file a unique name which is used as the div tag and is passed into a few different parameters. The next version will also use that unique name as alternative text so that Search engines can index that information. I would love to hear your feedback on this mambot!

Simple, elegant, works by digiweb, February 7, 2008
Add a line of code to the wysiwyg content view.
Display a flash object at that point.
Works as offered. Well done.

This plugin is so easy to use. Don't forget to add a slash at the front of your relative path- that was my only confusion. i would suggest to the author to include an example in the plugin description that would show this, or not require that first slash.

Works with IE7! by deafbiz, September 19, 2007

I had accepted paid advertisement using Flash on my website. At first I was able to use FCK to insert the flash into the content and I thought all was well because it showed up in Firefox and ie6.

However the advertiser informed that they couldn't see their banner ad and he was using IE7. So with a quick research I selected this mambot and installed it.

Very simple to add the URL (just don't insert your domain name, otherwise it will be duplicated), type in the description, select H and W, and you're good to go.

I then verified with browsershots.org that the flash banner now appears on all different kind of browsers.

This took me less than 10 minutes to research, install, put in the URL, and publish. Browsershot results was less than 1 hour. And yes, my page passed W3C validation as well.

Again, another tool that proves why Joomla is the best CMS!

Does the job! Flash plays without the need to click on it.
Small note: in the 'relativePathToFlashFile' parameter you need to start with '/'. So, this makes it an absolutePathToFlashFile'? ;-))
