This is a big timesaver in JCE on our 1.0 site. A most useful addition.

I was wondering if the author has any plans to come out with a 1.5 native version. It would be a real shame if there wasn't something like this for 1.5.

I loved the XTypo plugin...I only came across this while searching for something else. It's fantastic. Makes Xtypo a really user friendly tool. I'm using it with TinyMCE and I've encountered no issues

I just tried this xtypo plugin and i could say that this is real great shortcut to hard coding where i usually have problem with (typo errors and all). However, i noticed that some of the buttons have fixed sizes, particularly the dropcap that has fixed height.(or have i not explored it that much? but i promise i really did!) it would be great if you could provide an option to set the height for the dropcap. And also for the quotes and other buttons (with fixed sizes) as well.

otherwise, this is the best tool for your website layout.

It's a handy tool if you want to write quickly an article, but the 1.0 version contains some bugs and could be more compatible with the standard editor.

Bug:
It's doesn't close the quote left and right tag.(forgets to place right and left at the end)

Also I would be handy if the plugin would also change the text you've selected, because atm it overwrites the selected text with sample text.

This addon will save my time and avoid me from mistyping when using the xtypo "bot string"
